Saltash United host the visit of top of the table Helston Athletic who are also currently the holders of this cup.

we were treated to an awesome game tonight at the Kimberley Stadium. Both teams went at it Hammer and tongs from the start with Saltash taking an early lead, Helston equalised before halftime.

 

saltash were on top for long periods of the game during the early part of the second half, but Helston attacked down the left and Damerell managed to get a fantastic cross in to create a fantastic headed goal.

Cue the time wasting and experience of Helston for the remainder of the game. Frustrating Saltash’s Numerous attacks.

Helston will probably be slightly disappointed with the performance on the night, but it’s the result that matters in cup competitions and they go through to the next round after a valiant and brave display from Saltash who were really impressive.
