Perranwell 1 (Sam Bray 64) Foxhole 3 (Charlie Prynn 27, Dave Standing og 57, Lee Rickard 86)

Depleted Foxhole began their season with a hard-fought victory. There was little between the teams throughout although Prynn's opener at the far post from Jowan Dingle's low cross came at a time when the Foxes had started to get on top, the imposing Rees having minutes earlier brilliantly denied Couch from close range. As the visitors tired after the break, they were grateful for the cushion afforded them by their fortuitous second, Bould's drive being deflected in by Standing. Goalscorer Prynn's miscued clearance was pounced on by Bray to set up a grandstand finish, but chances were spurned at both ends without either keeper really being tested. Perranwell came closest to an equaliser when James' effort rattled the inside of the upright, but it was Rickard who secured the win, his direct free-kick finding the net after Couch had been wiped out when clean through. The home team summoned Luke Jephcott for a cameo, but the Foxes help out comfortably enough.

Foxhole (3-5-2): James Prynn; Lee Rickard, Angel Coates, Luke Damerell; Jowan Dingle, Lee Reed-Bennett, Jake Couch, Levi Kerrigan, Aidan Dingle; Benno Bould, Charlie Prynn. Subs: Jowan Annear, Cam Bidgood.

Perranwell (4-3-3): Phil Rees; Adam Selley, Matt Lane, Tim Senior, Dave Standing; Lachlan Brace, Adam Casey, Will Snapes; Sam Bray, Danhi Harvey, Jack Gray. Subs: Sam Fisher, Art Autumn, Simon James, Luke Jephcott.

Well played the super Foxes. Good luck to Perranwell. Many thanks to Amy Green and the home lino.

Camelford 0 Foxhole 2 (Damerell 10, Rickard pen 86)

Either side of Damerell's early header from Rickard's free-kick which flew past Colwill's left-hand, Foxhole's goal led a charmed life as Camelford contrived to squander a multitude of gilt-edged chances. Crowe, Gusterson and star man Cardiff all struck woodwork, but the home team's finishing was pretty woeful. Having weathered the considerable storm, and with something to hang on to, the heroic Foxes' determination and calmness in possession ensured the final hour was much more even, Peers almost grabbing a second with a header from a corner, but Gusterson climbed high to clear from underneath the bar. Cardiff, who had stood out with his strong running and tight control, was far less effective after the break, as the visitors worked hard to cut the supply lines. As a consequence, James Prynn was able to deal relatively comfortably with the efforts from distance mustered by the home team who appeared to run out of ideas in the final third. Foxhole were every bit as likely to notch the game's second, inviting centres almost being converted first by Jowan Dingle, and then by Bould, who would soon cleverly release Charlie Prynn only for Chafer to unceremoniously bundle him over. Rickard confidently despatched the spot-kick, low to Colwill's right, to seal a memorable victory.

Foxhole (4-3-3): James Prynn; Tim Peers, Lee Rickard, Charlie Prynn, Luke Damerell; Aaron Beresford, Levi Kerrigan, Aidan Dingle; Benno Bould, Jowan Dingle, Chris Kilbey. Sub: Seth Couch.

Camelford (4-4-2): Josh Colwill; Tom Crowe, Jake Chafer, Dan Metherell, Sam Wade; Finley Ellacott, Andy Boxall, Charlie Hambly, Connor Rhodes; Mark Gusterson, Shae Cardiff. Subs: Leo Best, Danny Sprake, Olly Taylor, Jack Biddick, Dan O'Hara.

Well played the super Foxes. Good luck to Camelford. Many thanks to Adrian Clements, Gavin Arnold and Dave Sellars.

St Agnes 0 Foxhole 6 (Rowe 5, 54, Jowan Dingle 17, Bould 50, Butler 71, 73)

Foxhole were far too strong for a weakened home outfit who battled gamely in the abysmal conditions. Rowe opened the scoring with a low drive from twenty yards, Jowan Dingle grabbing the second with a rare headed goal. With the elements behind them, St Agnes tried to recover but the lead was comfortably enough maintained and was quickly extended after the break. Jowan Dingle continued his good form with a typically explosive run down the right and centring for Bould to side-foot home, before Rowe blasted in from close range. Butler, excellent throughout despite featuring in antipodal positions at left-back and then outside-right, ran through to finish calmly before completing the scoring by expertly lobbing the keeper.

Foxhole (4-3-3): James Prynn; Tim Peers, Andrew Butler, Charlie Prynn, Luke Damerell; Aaron Beresford, Levi Kerrigan, Aidan Dingle; Benno Bould, Jowan Dingle, Courtney Rowe. Subs: Jake Couch, Seth Couch, Charlie Jones.

St Agnes: Jake Allen, Dan Kim, Rhydian Purnell, George McGuire, Harry Allen, Archie Fisher, Reuben Chant, Marcus Unknown, Bailey Milling, Jack Madden, Ryan Bull, Sam Unknown, Sam Unknown. Any help with missing names would be appreciated.

Well played the super Foxes. Good luck to St Agnes. Many thanks to David Rowe and the home linos.

Sticker reserves 1 (Sims pen 22) Foxhole 2 (Peers 20, Damerell 61)

Another fine victory was marred by the broken leg suffered by Aidan Dingle, who, with just four minutes remaining, launched into a typically robust fifty-fifty challenge. He will be badly missed as he, as much as anybody, had striven to plug the alarming gaps in the Foxhole half the home team were able to exploit at will in a dominant opening half. Fortunately, Sticker's finishing failed to match their intelligent approach play as chance after chance went begging, save for a rather fortunate penalty confidently despatched by Sims. This came moments after Peers had struck against the run of play, his volley at the far post from Charlie Prynn's free-kick eluding Clarke. A switch to 3-5-2 made for a far better performance after the break, Damerell grabbing the winner just past the hour mark when he met Butler's corner with a header from six yards. The Foxes rarely looked in danger of surrendering the lead, their cause undoubtedly aided by the return to action of Coates and the excellence of Kerrigan.

Foxhole (4-3-3): James Prynn; Tim Peers, Luke Damerell, Lee Rickard, Charlie Prynn; Aaron Beresford, Jake Couch, Aidan Dingle; Chris Kilbey, Jowan Dingle, Courtney Rowe. Subs: Levi Kerrigan, Angel Coates, Andrew Butler, Seth Couch.

Sticker (3-5-2): Connor Clarke; Andrew Avery, Jack Ham, Harley Sims; Jack Walker, Ewen Warren-Knight, Aidan Lees, Nathan Allen, Riley Yelland; Adam Solomon, Josh Higman. Subs: Taeler Chapman, Haiden Chapman, Kallum Haynes, James Moore.

Well played the super Foxes. Good luck to Sticker. Many thanks to Simon Coxhead and Aaron Grigg.

Foxhole onto something special? Are they St Pirans league?

the quality of players they have, many are swpl standard given how poor it is.

butler, beresford, kilbey, Rowe, bigood all very capable of scoring playing at a higher level.

you would have to wonder why local swpl clubs like st Dennis and sticker are not fighting for or can’t attract such good players

Kidney wasn't great last time I saw him play. Best played as part of a pair either side of a strong spine.

Bodmin Dragons 2 (Smith 28, Charlie Bickle 52) Foxhole 5 (Beresford 14, Rowe 24, Kilbey 50, Peers 56, Bould 83)

The Foxes, including the returning Allen and Rosevear, duly completed their pre-season with a routine victory, although credit to the hosts for making a game of it and scoring two cracking goals. Beresford opened the scoring, following up after Brad Bickle had brilliantly fielded a fierce drive by the marauding Peers, whose low cross was then fumbled by the keeper for Rowe to blast home from close range. At that stage Dragons had offered nothing going forward, but a quick break resulted in Smith's unstoppable strike from twenty yards, the ball arrowing into the net off the junction of bar and post. Soon after the restart Bould cleverly released Kilbey to open his Foxhole account, but a brilliant first touch allowed substitute Charlie Bickle to lob Prynn from the edge of the box. A fine move involving Kilbey and the unselfish Kerrigan teed up Peers to restore the two-goal lead from a narrow angle before Bould's forehead firmly met Beresford's corner.

Well played the super Foxes. Good luck to Dragons. Many thanks to Paul Cackett and the home linos.
