Looking at next week's fixtures, I don't think a bit of grass seed is going to sort out Parkway's pitch (five home fixtures in five days - Six, if you count the last day of the season next week). It's going to need a miracle - Especially if we get anymore rain 🙈

Hayes 2 Parkway 1

After a fairly flat and even end of season style match in the sunshine, Hayes made changes at half time (they rested several ahead of their midweek Middlesex County Cup Final), and scored in the first few minutes after the restart and then threatened to over run Parkway for 20 minutes or so. Some wasteful finishing meant that they didn't increase their advantage until near the end before Jack Crago bundled in a consolation effort in the 96th minute.

Parkway looked like they had run out of steam at the end of a long season with Ryan Lane forced off in the 1st half, 1 or 2 players looking completely off form, others looking like they were less than match fit  and a couple who probably would have gone off injured had more than 1 sub been available. They had no meaningful efforts on goal in the 2nd half, with Hayes' keeper not called into action.

Big effort now needed to raise tired minds and patch up broken bodies for the 3 games in 5 games next week. Would be a real shame if a season where the club has done incredibly well to establish itself at step 3 after a difficult start, ends on a low note.

Sounds like a different game to what Lee said after the game in his little interview.
