Paul Parfitt
RNAS CULDROSE 1-4 HELSTON ATHLETIC Helston: Goals: O'Reilly 23, Yould 31, Locke 86, 90. Assists: Locke 23, Barker-Thomas 31, 86. A good crowd gathered at the Culdrose Sports field to watch what was a fairly evenly contested yet scrappy game which was eventually decided by Helston's quality of pass and finishing. With the game at 2-1 until the final 5 minutes it was not inconceivable with Culdrose looking dangerous on the counter that a draw could have been Culdrose's for the taking but as has been the case in many a previous game this season Helston finished the match strongly and Locke put the result beyond doubt with two late goals. Both teams boasted full 16 player squads available and Helston lined up as follows: 4-4-1-1 Demouy (c); Letcher, Verry, E Sparkes, Lane; Medcalf, Yould, Locke, Page; S Sparkes, O'Reilly - Subs Used: Barker-Thomas, White, Holt, B Hannaford, Clouter.
