Southgate started brightly and scored first through a Stuart Cole lob, later in the half the visitors grew into the match and forced an equalizer with a cross headed into own net for a 1-1 HT scoreline. Newquay soon took the lead and looked like they were hanging on but Southgate threw caution to the wind and it paid off with a 25yd curler by Nick Heywood in 92nd min to force pens. 5 each after 10 then a crazy 6 misses in a row before Kevin Gerry (the home goalkeeper) struck the winner into the net to end a great match.
