Grassrootsgary
St Dominick 5-1 Saltash borough Someone’s 0 had to go, and the home side certainly cemented their place at the summit of the table with a convincing victory over 2nd place boro. St Dom started fast and pressed boro from the off and after 10 mins took the lead when styring squared to ryall who tapped home. St Dom continued to apply pressure but boro were a threat from set pieces and it showed when bunning scored at the near post with a header from a corner. This sparked st Dom into life and the same duo of styring and ryall combined to make it 2 with the latter getting the second. HT and all to play for. St Dom came out strong and once again pressed high and played some really nice stuff, boro became frustrated and numerous fouls resulted in a free kick which ryall buried to grab his hattrick. The continuous St Dom pressure told and ryall then scored direct from a corner which sailed over everyone into the far corner. The game was sealed when Harvey Barrett clipped a ball over the away sides defence and the onrushing Ben Jeffery finished clinically to seal a convincing victory for the league leaders. St Dom were good value for the win and credit to boro who never gave up, but the home sides class show in the end.
deancourt
Illogan RBL 9 - 0 Helston Ath Res A game of two halves - both won by Illogan. The first half was evenly contested in midfield, but unfortunately for Helston, Illogan's finishing was clinical and they took a 4-0 lead into half-time. In the second half they maintained their cuttting edge up front but as the match wore on so their dominance in midfield came to the fore. The quality of their football was duly rewarded yet they still managed to send a penalty kick onto the clubhouse roof having earlier totally cleared that same roof with a direct free kick from 25 yards. Despite the scoreline, Helston never let their heads drop and competed well right up to the final whistle. A final word for the referee who was excellent, and no trouble/dissent from the players either. Well played everyone,
UTFR
Perranporth 3-4 Redruth United, A much needed win for Redruth after a tough festive period, The reds started very well going 0-3 up after 25 minutes with goals from Andy Bishop, Dan Bowman and Matty Grainger, HT 0-3. Perranporth came out all guns blazing in the second half and they were rewarded with a great strike from 25 yards. They kept applying pressure to the Redrurh back line and eventually found another. Redruth dealt with oncoming pressure well and eventually grabbed the all important 4th thanks to defender Josh Clarke. A late goal from a Perranporth substitute had Redruth heads turned for the last few mins but saw the lead out well until the final whistle. A well deserved win for the reds and credit to Perran who didn't give up!

Goals Galore
A couple of surprising results in the East! Callington getting a draw against promotion hopefuls Bude must be one of the results of the season so far. St Dom putting 5 past Saltash Borough was also quite surprising to see, let’s hope Borough can get back to winning ways to keep the pressure on St Dom and make it an entertaining run in.
