scousemouse
A game decided by the the sheer work rate of Torpoint and a mediocre Plymouth Parkway. But take nothing away from Torpoint, they chase everything. Overheard some say they will be not at all surprised if Lee Hobbs is not there at the start of next season, as he has lost the dressing room. The Windmill On The Shirt
Torpoint Athletic goal scorers Jon McCreery, Billy Palfrey and Josh Tattersall. Great result for Torpoint and they were very good value in all areas and turned it around from Tuesday night at Callington.
Sticker Forever
If he is there most of the dressing room will be lost by the start of next season.....to other clubs! He inherited this team, I'm sure he will bring his own players in, in the summer. Great set up at Parkway, I'm sure there is a bigger picture! ? TURNIP TED
I took this game in last night and was surprised by Torpoint. They were everywhere and wanted this much more than Plymouth. Nothing upfront for Plymouth at all. The lad Zalick just cast up there on his own with very little support. Flat in midfield too. Colwell taken off , probably not happy with that. Elphick and Stringer on the bench and a second team lad. Depleted squad I think. Really impressed with the Torpoint work rate. Well deserved 3 points. Poor home crowd , poor home performance. Keith B
Work rate, determination and application usually wins the day. Have seen it time and again, the team who wants it most (strange phrase) usually come out winners. ''Wants it most'' odd saying but often said. One would hope that all teams go on to the pitch intending to win - you do wonder at times though. Surely you never go out to draw, or just to have a game ? Any player who doesn't go out with the attitude of ''we're going to win this'', shouldn't be in the team. Well done Torpoint !
paul pearce
A week ago i posted a comment on here re Lee Hobbs ability to inspire a team. No body re posted a comment. Now Scousemouse( no disrespect) says he has lost the dressing room. Perhaps I'm not such a bad judge of "Managers".
TURNIP TED
Or perhaps you just do not like Lee Hobbs ?
THE BALD ONE
Was a very poor performance , agreed . Torpoint were right up for it last night and their efforts paid off. Lee has a big task ahead of him , but should not be judged by this seasons results. This seasons squad were obviously not good enough for promotion and I am sure 4 or 5 or maybe 6 new faces pre-season can make a difference. Give the lad a chance as I have said before. Do not take anything away from Torpoint , well worthy winners. Cmon Parkway.
The Windmill On The Shirt
Parkway could of done without losing last night like a third armpit lol! Torpoint were awesome, one of the best performances of the season, and in recent seasons we have had a good record in their back garden!
Keith B
Inconsistency in team performances is strange isn't it. Torpoint have played some nice football over the seasons, not just this one. I suppose retaining players is an ongoing problem for all sides. Very frustrating for coaches and supporters alike. Again, well done Torpoint - keep it going. motherwontletmegoargyle
I think Parkway will have a different manager next season. Someone who has managed at a higher level and won things.
