Santini11
Falmouth 1-2 St Dennis FC (after extra time) Falmouth goal: Rob Wearne St Dennis goals: Carl Rickard Mark Rowe Good result for us last night....needless to say, the game should have been over at half time if it wasnt for our lack luster finishing. Wearne gave Falmouth the lead 20 minutes into the 2nd half, against the run of play with a great first time strike from 20 yards. St Dennis always looked like scoring and eventually did when a needless foul on Lee Rickard in the box by Andrew Sincock left Carl Rickard to despatch the spot kick with 13 minutes to go. St Dennis were on top but couldn't find the winner despite numerous of good chances, the best falling to Ryan Hayhurst and his effort was put over the bar from 4 yards out, with the goal gaping! Falmouth started the first half of extra time the better side, keeping the ball well but without really troubling Brett Allen in the St Dennis goal. Finally the winner came, when a pin point cross from the right wing by Martin 'Slugger' Sleeman was glanced home by substitute Mark Rowe. The final 5 minutes saw Falmouth press but again, without troubling St Dennis' keeper and solid defence. All in all...an exciting game and good luck to Falmouth for the remainder of their season. An awesome test for us in the next round, away to Bodmin
