Mike Odgers
When the SWL was formed in 1951 Saltash were playing at Wearde Field, St.StephensAnother club formed in 1975 was Saltash W.M.C.-They must have reached Senior status as they eliminated Truro City in the Cornwall Senior Cup 1979-80Some other grounds used by Plymouth Argyle (according to old SWL handbooks)were,Forder Valley,Marsh Mills,-Harpers Park-Ermington (would that be Ivybridge?)Some while ago a question was raised asking how long have Launceston played at PennygillamWell it could be answered as always because reading the Plymouth Argyle history it refers to them playing a friendly against Launceston at Pennygillam in the 1890's (Cant remember the exact year)

noahc
burraton's ground was shared by st mellion, champions of the east cornwall premier league. the best team had the worst facilities. 22 players and the referee changing in a dilapidated wooden hut with no running water! at the end of a game or towards the end if the women were in attendance, the water would be collected in buckets and an old tin bath would also be brought out! players nowadays dont know theyre born!
