dobbie
Just finishing a night shift in my place of work, a hotel in Truro, and one of the guests that i checked in late last night was the referee for Truros match against Billeracy today. It got me wondering who pays the expenses for referees is it the clubs or the League? Reason i ask is that the referee is from London, he has two nights accomodation plus travelling expenses to and from London and obviously his match fee to be paid. It seems an awful lot of money to be paid...surely there must be referees closer who could at least travel on the day cutting down on expenses. Can any one enlighten me?? B Manning
dobbie, all clubs could have their tame referee who just lives around the corner from the ground and would be used for all the home games, just think of the money that would save. isaac rosenberg
Some Cornish clubs at a lower level than Truro have had those tame referees around the corner for years. No wonder Penlee Park was named after a lifeboat, for instance.

isaac rosenberg
And I'm sure you "meant" well. Alas, your humour is temporary, but lack of wit is permanent, as everybody "knows/nose".
