Mike Odgers
My best memory is in 1962-63 when Johnny scored with one of his specials against West Ham 3-0 (including Bobby Moore & Geoff Hurst) in the F A cup. The reward was to see my boyhood idol Jimmy Greaves of Spurs sink Argyle 1-5 in th 4th.Round before 40,000+ at Home Park

Mike Odgers
I didn't see the Reserve fixture but I remember Br.Rail laid on a Special Excursion from Penzance. It was the first game on British soil for the return of Jimmy who had just been transferred to Tottenham from A C Milan for £99,999 Spurs Manager Bill Nicholson said no player is worth £100,000. From memory after reading his biography he drove himself home across Europe in a sports car as he was so glad to get away from his unhappy time in Italy. From the Argye handbook Sat.9th.December 1962 Plymouth Argyle Res. 1 Tottenham Res 4 Attendance 12,907 Scorers Stuart Brace----- Aitchison,Smith,Greaves
