DanBlazey
Friday 11 Sept: SWPL Premier: Plymouth Parkway v Buckland Athletic A bumper crowd expected in Plymouth tonight for a clash between two of the heavyweights of the league. Parkway will leap from 8th to first if they win by a margin of three goals or more, but any win will be enough to send Athletic to the top. Andy Yeatman
Not surprised by this result. Watched Buckland take Torpoint apart 8-1 last Saturday. Torpoint held their own in the first half (2-1 Buckland) but in the second half Buckland stepped up a gear and clinically punished every single mistake by Torpoint. They were on top in every part of the pitch. With a score like that can't claim that Torpoint didn't play a part in their own downfall but a lot of teams would have struggled against Buckland's second-half performance. Can't see them being far from top come next May.
