CSWPL Premier Division Wed August 26

26/08/2009 Bodmin 2 - 1 Falmouth

Bodmin took an early second-half lead through Steve Colwell and when Matt Drummond equalised with about five minutes to go, it looked as if Falmouth might have salvaged a point. However with time running out, new signing Chris Luxton got the last touch on a ball which ended up in the corner of the Falmouth net to keep the champions 100% record intact.

Mind you, it also summed up how fickle a football fan is! Not so long ago Sean Flynn and Alan Carey were heroes of Priory; now they're barracked worst than any other visiting player or manager! :(

Well done Chrissy lad, just showing what all Peppermints will be very soon, Premier quality !

Falmouth have lost their two games to late goals! Did Sean Flynn play from start? Was he fit as he has only played 45 mins this season in friendly! Not having a dig just a bit disapointed as i thought Falmouth were title contenders. Mind you Bodmin are the champions and their consistancy must be the aim.

Yes fans are fickle. Trevor Mewton won trophies at Falmouth, when at Blazey he got sum stick from town fans.

No, Flynn came on for the last 30 minutes.

Falmouth played well - they just met Kevin Miller on one of his best days. Draw would probably have been a fair result.

Vospers deserved the points because they were far more competetive than Dobwalls who were well below par as a team.

When they did get it together briefly after the halftime break it looked as if they would turn things around but a number of mistakes and missed chances cost them on the day.

If Dobwalls want to finish in the top five or six they will need to buck up their ideas on a regular basis.
