hello Fal lad, just to let you know Holmans contained no player from last years campaign, unfortunley most have moved on or moved up to our first team, which todays game against penryn combo contained 1 player from last years squad :blink::blink::blink::blink::blink: .

Hate to say it but relegation looks likely :angry2::angry2: :angry2:

PERRANPORTH 5 PORTHLEVEN RANGERS 2

Before the game the minutes silence for Brian Biggins was impeccably observed by everyone at the ground a fitting tribute to a man that will be sadly missed..............

On a cloudy humid day it was one way trafic from the start with the Opposing Goalkeeper Richard ? having an outstanding game in which he made at least 12 great saves which saved his side from conceding a cricket score.

After losing Ross Maynard after only 4 minutes as he had to go off with a displaced hair strand, Elliot Brown put us in front after 20 minutes when good work from John Williams sent Brown racing through and he cooly slotted past the keeper. 10 minutes before half time Keeper John Mitchell's clearance was flicked on by Sam Mansfield and although the keeper got a hand to Barry Leetes rocket shot it bounced into the net.

HT: 2-0

The 2nd half was a frustration for 20 minutes as Barclay, Harper, Stribly, Jones, Leete and Brown were all denied by the keeper before he allowed Mansfield shot to creep under his body. A mistake in the defence allowed Rangers to pull a goal back with a neat finish before Sam Harper was brought down in the box for no penalty and from the resulting scramble Barclay hit a shot into the roof of the net. Rangers again profited from from a mix up betwen Bennets and Watts to reduce the score again. Man of the match Simon Jones then sent in a fantastic cross for a diving Damian Bispham to head home to complete the scoring.

Once again Larry Marsh in the middle had an entertaining game :yahoo:

FHFL 2

Carharrack 5 Mullion 1

Venue: Howard Beauchamp Recreation Ground

An impressive start to the season saw promotion contenders Carharrack take a 5-1 victory over Mullion in FHFL 2. On a superb playing surface, the first goal was awarded to Mullion who chipped the goalkeeper to take the lead. Just before the interval Carharrack forward Jason Farnsworth header was deflected into the back of the visitors net. After the break, Carharrack midfielder Brenden Dennis perfectly set up striker Mark Miller who smashed the ball into the back of the goal from inside the box. On the 55th, the referee pointed to the spot due to handball, up stepped Farnsworth who placed the ball past the keeper. The next goal came from another penalty which was taken by Liam Bray. With their heads dropped Mullion could do little to stop the onslaught which was brought by substitute Stuart Rule who sealed the win for the home side.

Match Official: Paul Minns

Carharrack Squad: Liam Bray, Craig Moyle, Matt Mitchell, Ashley Smeeth, Stuart Smeeth, Brenden Dennis, Matt Sara, Jake Hawkey, Richy Ward, Jason Farnsworth, Mark Miller, Tristan Burrows, Stuart Rule, Dan Ellis, Steve Sansbury.
