Guest Old Timer

Couple big games this weekend, Plymouth Parkway v Saltash United should be a scorcher and a great game to kick off another packed weekend of great south western football. I will be there watching, its just trying to choose antoher game to watch on Saturday, because there is no way i'll be watching that team in green they call Argyle...? Not for me. Local football all the way.

Well I reckon Launceston v St Blazey will be a decent watch. But then I would say that. Penzance v Buckland also looks a good one to watch. In the east, Crediton v N.A.Spurs looks good. Crediton had a good 200+ crowd last week and NAS have just been relegated. In the west, Newquay v Penryn, early season 6 pointer maybe for the title. Roll on saturday.

Opening SWPL game at Bickland Park

FALMOUTH TOWN v IVYBRIDGE TOWN

Falmouth have not won a League match at Bickland this 2009 year -their last victory was December 08 v Ivybridge Town 1-0 from a Andy Bowker penalty.

This stretches to 9 home games without a win which is the(unwanted) SWPL(P) record.

Previous SWPL(P) meetings-

FT v IT

2007-08 H w4-0- A L1-2

2008-09 H w1-0- A L2-3
