Harris
At present you wil have to say for a goal scoring striker it has to be Chris Wright... Again stats speak for them selves..... As a an all round striker i would go for Glynn Hobbs when hes on his game hes pure class.... Scores goals can tackle defend and pass. Wrighty at present is a goal machine though
sven gordan (eric's son!)
in my opinion when hes got his right head on glynn hobbs is head and shoulders above anyone, chris wright had a good season last year be interesting to see if he can carry it on this year, think o'hagen has had his best years and if berry can stay fit he'll be up there again this year, but you cant right off andy sargeant his touch and preditor instinct will always be admired
Harris
Sven G E S : Chris Wright has been on the seen in this standard of footy for only two years and he was second top goal scorer the season before last and top goal scorer last season. He even didnt play the last 13-14 games and was still top goal scorer FACTS speak for them selves. GLYNN HOBBS is class we all know that, but Wrightys goals speak for them selves. As for Andy Sergent he was class, his touch is still awsome and liek you say his eye for goal is nothing to be smerked at but bes t in the league, not sure on that one. Total Stranger
An interesting topic, and one containing a lot of individual opinions. How many though have taken the time to research, the last 5 years or so, to confirm stats from the league. There are some good forwards around some who are quite young, and some not so young. Surely consitantcy should be taken into account. Obviously the younger guys will only have a season or two under their belts so perhaps this topic should have two parts, Currant and Up and Up and Coming? Glyn Hobbs is the overall best bet (if he allows himself to be) Chris Wright has had two seasons, it`s now down to how or if he can bounce back after injury. Not much mention of Ryan Fice (bit of a flash in the pan) an able player with drawbacks. Carter, not too sure of. He`s big granted, I`m just not sure he can be considered in this company. Andy Sargent`s scoring record will tell it`s own tale. How do people think Glynn Hooper would rate in today`s forum/topic? Probably best to see how it pans out at the end of the season. A striker depends a lot on service and if he doesn`t get it his strike rate won`t be as high as expected. Possibly this topic stands or falls by it`s sister topic of "Who is the best midfielder"? These are the guys the forwards/strikers rely on. So perhaps the best striker this season will come from the team with the best midfield to give him the service and to create the opportunities needed. Best of luck to all.
