cornishteddyboy Posted June 28, 2009 Report Share Posted June 28, 2009 I notice that Truro City Ladies have changed their name back to Newquay Ladies and have gone back to Mount Wise. 12 months ago we had a blaze of publicity about name changes, long term sponsorship, a Premier League team, etc. 3 years of money promised. That didn't last long or was the real reason for paying a few quid in travelling expenses was for Truro to say to the Football Foundation, CCC, other funders, etc, "Look we've got a Ladies Premiership team so give us a new stadium for them and funding to build it."
