  1. As someone who’s son plays for Dropship I’d have to agree I thought Lanreath were by far the better team first half and really should have put game out of sight. But if you don’t take your chances this is what can happen. Not sure about the red card but Dropship were definately on the front foot and I believe it was 2-2 by then. Sin bins for comments or arguing with ref ( right or wrong ) obviously dropped lanreath deeper in the shit so that’s on them nobody else. We all know refs have the sin bin now and a cup final is perfect place to impose power to do so, better off biting your tongue. Again Lanreath are clearly a superb team and seemed like a decent bunch in defeat so nothing but admiration for them. Their league must be tough as I’d expect them to walk through most junior leagues.
  2. You must 100% agree they deserve a pay rise after such an achievement. Well done boys 👍
  3. Rumour has it Adam Barnicoat is on even more plus a Yacht and unlimited air miles. I work with him and it would explain how’s he’s always flying somewhere. You certainly know your stuff 😂😂
  4. St just Res 3 (2) vs Dropship 4 (2) Cup quarter final I believe and had plenty of action. First off as someone who’s played and managed from the Falmouth area I know there is never a easy game to be had at St Just, anyone offered a 1-0 take the points and leave match I think you’d bite their hand off 😂. Today was no different, Ashley Ellis dropped down due to first team being called off and 2 early chances equalled 2 early goals, not easy finishes either but he’s a class striker. Dropship huffed and puffed with very little threat until a corner just before half time was bizarrely slapped away by the defenders hand leading to an easy penalty decision for the ref. Robbo coolly despatched. 2 mins later Toby Webb was put through to calmly round the keeper and finished. 2-0 somehow had become 2-2 in minutes 🙈. Second half Dropship went 3-2 up and with 15 mins remaining 4-2 up although the linesman did his best to get it ruled out for offside in what I can only describe as one of the worst attempts of cheating I can remember but the ref was having none of it. It backfired though as a player went on a rant at the ref which led to a red card . St Just battled on though and squeezed in a 3rd to make it a nervous final few minutes but 4-3 it finished. Not much decent football played, think the result was probably the right one but St Just will be happier with how they played than Dropship will. special mention to TJ who after 60 minutes of constant whinging at the ref got sin binned only to storm off down the tunnel ( to have a shower , his words ). 2 minutes later he came back up after I imagine someone told him the rules 😂😂
  5. Junior Cup Quarter Final Falmouth United 2 (1) Pemsilva 0 (0) Be honest I turned up expecting Pensilva to win comfortably with all the hype surrounding them but came away very disappointed. Falmouth started brightly and capitalised on a mistake early on when young Calum Jewell robbed the defender and finished coolly. Pensilva I would have though would have burst into life but were very lethargic and really offered nothing much first half. Falmouth could have gone 2-0 up but for a superb save from Pensilvas keeper from Reece Toms long shot. Second half Pensilva pushed from the start without really worrying Falmouth, they potentially could have had a goal but the fwd was about 3 times the size of the Falmouth keeper so the 50/50 challenge went in Falmouth keepers favour. Then came the turning point when player manager Super “ Mike Rollason “ came off the bench and with his first touch battled through the Pensilva defence and finished nicely. He could have scored from a cross minutes later but headed over but to be fair to Falmouth they saw out the gave fairly comfortably. Pensilva boys temperament got the better of them toward the end with some cheap shots off the ball but I think they expected a walk in the park which they clearly didn’t get. I don’t know Pensilvas pitch whether it’s small and compact but they looked out of their depth on Penryn colleges 3G. Massive congratulations to Falmouth United and to Mike as the hard work is paying off, not a nasty person in their team which takes some doing at any level of football. MOTM in my opinion was Lewis Munden in goal, made some really important saves when called apon and from what I’ve been told is carrying an injury too boot 👍 ps, I’m nothing to do with Falmouth United but obviously live in the area and know them and have been involved in local football so this post is my honest opinion of the game today. Pensilva had some decent players, keeper , CB ( no 3 I believe ) two young wingers who came on but I don’t know their names so can’t say too much about them. Good luck to both teams going forward 👍
  6. Helston Devs 1-2 Mousehole Devs Helston started the brighter and deservedly took the lead midway through the first half, again for some reason this is what was needed to wake Mousehole up and spark them into life, the rest of the first half played out much more even with few chances at either end. Second half was different story, Mousehole came out like a different team and put Helston under constant pressure from the off although there were limited chances created for either team. Mousehole did eventually equalise with 20 to go and got the winner with 10 left. Inspired substitution with young Lewis Preston coming on and getting a goal and an assist. Fair result in the end after the initial scare but feel Mousehole quality shone through in the end with some neat passing throughout team Good luck to Helston for season 👍
  7. It’s not even a secret they are paying, it’s common knowledge and has come directly from Dropship players, I could go further but what’s the point it is what it is and if they can afford it’s their choice. I think you ll find it’s not direct payment as such but wangled in some other way which is legit. Some will hate it and say it’s wrong but let’s be fair it’s happened at junior level for different teams for the 20 years I played so it’s nothing new 🤷‍♂️.
  8. Mousehole Devs 2 (1) Vs (0) 0 Hayle Tough game for us against a quick relentless Hayle side, some quality players in their ranks, think we just about edged it as score reflects but glad we don’t have to play them every week. Good luck to Hayle for next season, 1 point needed to guarantee 2nd spot on Saturday but we’ll push for the win as always 👍
  9. St Dominic 0-0 Illogan HT even fist half, Illogan had penalty which Barry the keeper missed, some full bodied tackles, St Dominic nearly scored on HT but Illogan keeper made good save. Entertaining but cold 😞
  10. I’m in no way slating St Day, they are doing a superb job and fully deserve to go up if their position at end of season is high enough. I do question you knowledge though lol, are you sure no higher players have helped their cause during the course of the season 🤔🤔.
  11. St Day the most deserving? If Mousehole finish runners up, not that that’s in anyway decided yet, Truro, Mousehole and St Day all applied, Truro have won the league so fair play but I’m struggling to understand why St Day would be more deserving?
  12. Mousehole Devs 1-0 Millbrook tight game played at St Austell, we lost 5 of our starting 11 against Illogan at the weekend, 2 cup tied, 1 injured , 1 taken by first team at 1pm on the day and another who only found out he could get cover at work at 4.30 on the day 🙈. We ended the game with a back 4 consisting of 3 16year olds and 1 37year old 😂. Game played in right spirit, settled by early goal in first half, Millbrook from what I can gather had their own issues with lack of players also but still had some real quality players. Great bunch of lads and wish them all the best for the remainder of the season, onwards to the final 👍
  13. Again just to make it clear none of these comments are coming from the Mousehole Development set up, we are purely focused on the football side of it and the lads development which has been absolutely amazing. Most clubs at this level have VEO ( alot at lower level s too ), we don’t use GPS only first team do due to the cost and most clubs I’ve been involved with in 25 years have matching tracksuits or tops of some sort . The Pitch and setup at Mousehole is the main selling point I’d say, from the first team management to the lady’s who make the tea everyone is absolutely lovely and you feel valued. Billy has made the pitch look sensational and keeps it that way which helps the style of football we are trying to install in the lads. We are exceeding our own expectations this season and no matter what happens it ll make us more determined to push ourselves further again next season. 95% of our team has time on their side and the older few are excellent role models 👍
  14. Poor old Dom he’s only 24 and considered old in our set up 😂😂😂😂 To be fair to Charlie I think he just really liked our style of football and he s got close friends and lads he’s played for with his Plymouth Arglye college course, don’t think there’s any underhand reasoning. Falmouth s pathway for youngsters ( in my eyes ) has been superb this season and they have to be commended for that 👍
  15. Think the Drew Symons’s comment is way wide of the mark, currently doing superb job with a very young Mousehole Development side 👍. 2 horse race 👍
  16. As part of the Mousehole Devs setup can I just say that we have no issues at all, no rules were broken and any team is welcome to do anything they see fit within the rules. We have played first team players when requested to by the 1st team but we’ve never asked for any as we are happy with our squad and the job the youngsters do. Thought our 18 year old CB dealt with Matt Wright superbly so that’s a massive possitive for him. As a team I thought we played by far the better football, we were blunt at the top end and we all know goals win games so fair play to Truro. We move on, pick the lads up and try to win our final 4 and see what happens. 👍
  17. St Day are a decent team, we beat them twice and are extremely happy with that but we are also happy we don’t have to face them again as they have quality players throughout. We are over the moon with the football we play but there are some decent teams in St Pirans Average age of Mousehole starting 11 yesterday was 20 years old, Truro’s was nearly 22 years old. Feel sometimes people who don’t watch games don’t realise how young a side we have at Mousehole. Our young keeper did superb but left us to challenge himself at St Austell first team in the league above and left with our best wishes. Dom our current keeper has been involved for a while and is a previous Mousehole player. He’s also only 24, so still spring chicken for a keeper 😂😂
  18. Mousehole Devs 0-1 Truro Gutted with the result but couldn’t be more proud of the lads, they played some of the best football I’ve seen this season, battled relentlessly from start to finish, controlled the game BUT ultimately got undone with a set piece. It was flagged for offside which made it worse but I’m not getting into that as everyone has their opinions and the ref chose to give it.
  19. Wendron 2 (1) Vs (1) 4 Mousehole Devs A good win against a decent Wendron team, Wendron played with the wind and went 1-0 ahead with a long range strike, they had the better of the game for the first 30 mins but Mousehole grew into the game and drew level with a good free kick from Logan Trevains 1-1 HT Second half Mousehole changed formation and took the game to Wendron playing some decent football and under instructions to shoot, Jack Symons did exactly that and made it 2-1 with a well struck shot into the corner quickly followed by another from Regan Hull. Substitute Connor Hurrell came on to make it 4-1 before Wendron got a consolation at the death. Wendrons pitch held up well and the weather held off which is always nice, great hospitality as always at Wendron with sausage and chips after. Good luck to Wendron for the rest of the season, still some twist a turns in the title maybe but it’s simple maths for Mousehole, 5 games left if they win 5 they win the league. Sounds simple 😂😂
  20. Mullion 2 - 3 Mousehole Devs Scoreline doesn’t really do Mousehole justice as they were by far the better team but as you see so many times if you don’t take your chances you are always at risk. We limited Mullion to very few chances, think their second goal midway through the second half may have been their second shot lol. The only goal that ended up separating the teams in the end was an own goal by Mullion CB. Shooting practice on the agenda this week at training, all the best to Mullion for rest of the season, big strong side who a lot will struggle against and young Toby in goal was superb 👍
