    Hi,

I’m 46 and new to Cornwall, not the fittest but want to find a vets team to play for, preferably division 2 and I live in Penryn.

if you are looking for a reliable player, please get in touch.

Kernow Wanderers are in Div 2 and play their home games at Frogpool which is not far from Penryn. Also in Div 2, but a little further are St Day and Redruth Utd. PM me if you’d like contact details for these clubs

Watched the st austell v st mawgan game this evening first game I’ve taking i. For a couple years. Thought the ref made a lot of mistakes tonight. Guessed on a few decision. Nor being close enough to play. Not a bad game st mawgan probably edged it on chances in second half but didn’t take them.

Watched the same game. Agree the ref not great, but not the worst I’ve seen. My analysis would be it was a fairly open first half, but cancelled each other out 2nd. Draw probably a fair result. St Austell missing the pen right on half time, and hitting the post with a cross will feel they did enough to take the points, but Mawgan always looked a threat and maybe should have had a penalty of their own in the second period

  4. Following today’s government announcement, and in line with other leagues in the county, the Cornwall Veterans League has taken the reluctant decision to suspend all games.
Football is still allowed in tier 3 and staging games is not impossible, but there are many restrictions in place which make things very difficult and some clubs have already declared their pitches and facilities unavailable. Of course, the safety of players, officials, volunteers and anyone else involved is also paramount.
We hope this will be a short term situation, but there is no way we can put a date when we can resume. We will of course keep everyone posted when we have any more news.
Best wishes to players, officials and volunteers of all clubs. Let’s hope 2021 is a lot better than 2020
