At 2 nil down St Blazey score a good goal. No complaint from a Saltash player, the Ref never gave anything, yet the linesman gives a foul when their tall centre half gets out muscled by a tall lanky kid. Ridiculous. Completely ended the game really. Saltash 2 up. St Blazey had 3 great efforts on goal in the first half but their Plymouth youth goalkeeper pulled off some cracking saves. Those saves kept St Blazey out and Saltash played some good football. Decent match all round. Pitch looked in good shape. Disappointing program. A piece of paper folded in half.

No game for St Blazey on Saturday as we should have played Elmore. Saturday after a must win senior cup tie at Probus.

I thought that unlike the first fixture, where it felt like a smash and grab by Saltash, they deserved this win last night.

It was a good quality game, really much more of an even contest than the scoreline might suggest. The pitch looked in great shape which helped both teams get the ball down and ping it about.

No complaints about the result but I'm certain than any neutrals in attendance would agree that a fairer scoreline might have been only a goal between the sides.

EDIT: Forgot to comment on the disallowed goal. Very soft. I think the ref was perfectly prepared to give it but the linesman flagged. Not sure what for, there was no contact below the waist from what I saw and I was in a good position behind the goal. He was done for pace, felt a barge in the shoulder and went down in my opinion.

Got to add that yes Ashes deserved the win.Well done and good luck for the rest of the season (as we dont have to play you any more!)

Football is a funny old game as we all know to answer the Seven against Parkway question above we probably created as many chances last night but Corry Harvey made sure they didnt go in! against Parkway they went in simple

After the game general consensus was 3v2 would have been about right ( but thatwould still mean 3 points for Ashes and none for Blazey so on we go)
