Congratulations to Penzance for winning Division 1 West and good luck in the Premier Division next season.

As a long-suffering St Austell fan, I have to say that the league table doesn't lie and the Magpies fully deserve to take their place in the Premier Division. They were probably the best side we played all season, even though we beat them at Penlee Park in one of those exciting away games we had this season. We're looking forward to keeping up the banter with the Judge next season and hopefully if we can keep pursuing the Council we can get the facilities at Poltair up to Premier Div standard. It was good to see Callington and Newquay competing for the league as well. I won't add any more about the game at Callington, suffice to say that we've accepted the decision and at least we ended the season on a high with 2 wins away from home. It was great to see two Lillywhites legends at Vospers yesterday- namely Derek Rickard and Mike Bickle. In the end, a few too many draws and defeats against Truro and Camelford were our undoing but compared to last season, finished either 2nd or at worst 3rd will be fantastic. Winning the Senior Cup was great as well.

Congratulations to Glyn, Steve, Andy, Dani and the boys for their hard work. Hopefully we can have another great season in 2009/10.
