Winchester v Truro

Recommended Posts

Winchester 1 Truro 2.

This may sound a bit of a poor result against the bottom side.

Winchester had 7 new signings playing most of them from Dorchester Town.

Great result Truro.

To make my weekend,Spurs kicks Chelsea's ass.

Did you get those two results Judge.

Doubt if we get a reply. :c:

Let the gloating begin. :P :ninja:

This Is Cornwall Report:-

City stayed top of Division One South and West of the BGB Southern League with a hard fought victory at bottom club Winchester City on Saturday, writes Rhod Mitchell.

The home side were strengthened by the siigning of several players from Conference South side Dorchester Town and gave the visiting leaders a real battle.

The first half was a dour midfield affair with defences on top, with Jake Ash heading over Truro's best chance from a corner just before the interval.

But City went ahead in the opening minute of the second half when Marcus Martin headed home at the far post from an Andy Taylor cross.

Scott Walker went close to making iit 2-0 with a rasping shot which flew just wide before the Hampshire side levelled after 66 minutes with Leon Osei crossing for James Awea to appy the finishing touch from close range.

However, Truro regained the lead four minute later when a pass by Joe Broad was suerbly controlled by Andy Watkins, who had come on as a half time substitute for Stewart Yetton, and the striker hammered home his 22nd goal of the season.

City then had to survive some nervy moments, including strong claims for a penalty, as they held on for another crucial win.

And it was enough to keep them one point clear of AFC Totton, who won 4-2 against Slough, and two ahead of third-placed Windsor & Eton, who also won, ahead of Tuesday evening's visit of The Royalists to Treyew Road (7.45pm).

Let the gloating begin. :P:ninja:

Just so we're clear on this, if City win and a post appears, it's gloating.

If City win and post does not appear, we're lazy or disinterested.

If City lose and a post does not appear, we're fair weather fans.

So apparently the only scenario that would suit you is Truro lose, but post about it?

Here's hoping that doesn't have to happen on Tuesday!
