Mangle
The Wigan match was Gareth Bale's 20th appearance for Tottenham, but he is still without a win since he moved from Southampton in 2007. The 19-year-old missed out on last year's Carling Cup final after sustaining an injury in December 2007 which ruled him out for the rest of the season. The last time Bale won a match in the league was Southampton's 4-1 victory over Southend in May 2007.

Mangle
ooooooooo............. Bale is in the team to play Pompey.............PLAY UP POMPEY< POMPEY PLAY UP!!!!!! I hope he breaks the Premier League record. Should Spurs fail to win, that will be 21 matches without ever tasting victory in the Premier League - equalling the record held by Giles Barnes of Derby.
