Guest Man on the Post Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 Apparently on BBC Radio 5 Live last week they spoke to someone who has been the manager of the same team for 45 years! Has any manager in Cornwall ever come close to this?
Deano Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 Dave Fisher at Perranwell. Not sure its been 45 years but he must be 1 of the longest serving mangers in Cornish football
Guest Postie Pidge Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 I think Dave Fisher has been there since either 1970 or 1977 not sure but longer than I've been alive. I think the next in line could be Reg Hambly at Camelford
Dave Deacon Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 I think Dave Fisher has been there since either 1970 or 1977 not sure but longer than I've been alive. Forgive me for repeating myself and once again sounding like a bit of a party pooper, but although Dave has been with the club for many, many seasons, I think you'll find that Les Gilbert was manager for a season.
Guest Postie Pidge Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 And wasn't Phil Kellow as well? Maybe they were team managers and Dave was general manager or director of football or something fancy like that
hansome dan Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 fish ain,t been there for 45 years,he just looks like it sorry dave
