When you are struggling play the history card.

Been there done that.

Try and look forward you poor Gooners.I know it looks bad,but try.

:yahoo::yahoo::yahoo::yahoo::yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:

Look, you say you deal with facts in one post, so here are some facts.

Now, after presenting them, you wish to deal with the future. I suggest you start another thread about "pie in the sky" mate.

You don't deal in facts, you cower away from them.

Fact: Arsenal have won more trophies than Spurs

Fact: Spurs have not beaten Arsenal in the Premier League since 7th November 1999.

Fact: Arsenal currently hold a 17-match unbeaten League sequence against Spurs (10 wins, seven draws).

Fact: That 1-2 reverse at your place in 1999 remains the only defeat Wenger (god) has suffered against Spurs in 24 meetings.

Fact: The last time Tottenham won on Arsenal turf was at the back-end of the inaugural Premier League season, on 11th May 1993.

Fact: Head-to-head - All: Arsenal 59 wins, Spurs 45, Draws 38.

Fact: Head-to-head - Premier League only: Arsenal 13 wins, Spurs 5, Draws 14

I love facts. Now I'm bored.

Good day to you.

Long live your little club at the lane, they periodically give us something to laugh about.

Guest Man on the Post

Mangle you've missed one fact in which Arsenal have been streets ahead of Spurs since Wenger has been manager. That fact is players sent off. :SM_carton: I think yesterday's sending off was about the 75th during Wenger's tenure. :SM_carton:

But isn't there a famous old saying in football that goes something like.......

'You're only as good as you're last game!'

Now that's what I'm talking about! :yahoo:

White flag to a Gooner.

Never.

Every thing the scum have done,so have Spurs. How many times is'nt of great importance.

As for not beating you in the premier league,we only have to wait until February for that to go.

Small club, not much longer, with our superior new stadium.

Everything is looking good for the future.

Im a very happy Spurs fan,so no white flags here.

Looks like the Spuds are taking a hammering today!

About time too.

Somersetspur, etc. - time to run up the white flag in the facts department.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I'm awfully confused, haven't we been taking a hammering ALL season because of our 'fabulous' start, I know my inbox at work has been full with jokes every Monday morning during this season.

Mangle, you are very clever.Your Gooners get d---ed at Stoke.

So you start a topic on football history.

Any one else intrested.

I think the history ends in 2004.Thats the last time the scum one something.

Sorry Somersetspur. I forgot how successful you have been this century (or the last one if you want to be precise!) One trophy in 17 years (is that right, I'm sure you'll correct me if I'm wrong) doesn't exactly set the pulse racing.

Well, not mine anyway!

spurs are bringing out a commemorative dvd of the draw, pretty bad when it cant be a win wouldnt you say??

and no i dont support arsenal!!

If that's true then it just about sums Spurs up.

Small club dining out on past glories.

I rest my case.

Rory Delap...... Quailty player!!!! What do all you Gooners think?

Takes a good throw-in.

Full stop.

No wonder Spurs' website is the third most popular Premier League club website, all you chaps go on there trying to find those Xmas stocking fillers!!

I got the whole Sky Sports presentation on Sky+, so no need to purchase it anyway, I mean with the credit crunch hitting home, we all need to keep those costs down!!!

This rabble are beyond belief.

How on earth can you celebrate a draw?

the answer to that is easy.

ur bottom of the league, playing away against your deadliest rivals & your 4-2 down with a couple of minutes to go.

you think the games over & you've lost but then you come back & earn a draw.

now that is almost as good as a win for us whereas for you it would have probably felt like a defeat.

if you were in the same situation score wise against man u next week are you saying you wouldn't celebrate?

Let me guess the end-of -season Spuds DVD:

"How we finished 4th from bottom"

I can see it already - Bentley dancing across the Spurs pitch. Bentley - looks more like Rodney Trotter everyday!:lol::lol:

Do you think he'd do it in a David Pleat stylee, (when he kept Luton up back in the 80's on the last day of the season and ran across the pitch in a rather fetching creamish suit, dancing a particularly cringe-worthy jig as he went!)

Now that would be class and well worthy of a DVD in it's own right!

Yes, I think you will find Mangles facts dont all add up.

He is clever.

Arsenal have won more trophies than Spurs. Can't argue with that.

You have also won more than Chelsea,so are you a better team than Chelsea.?

No doubt your biased gooner opinion will think so.

But everybody knows Chelsea are a better team than the scum, and will continue to win more trophies than

you.

Spurs also have a better history than Chelsea.?

Mind you we did win more trophies than them last season.

Spurs have a good proud history. We have achieved everything you have, and some before you as well,

winning the double, and a European trophy.

So cling on to the history,if you wish.

Facts are 4-2 after 90 mins and only a point gained against the bottom team in the league,on your own

patch, then a 2-1 defeat to another team in the bottom 3,not very good.

It really rankles with you that you can't come close to the "Big Four"...

NO it doesn't. We've PROVEN that we are more than capable of competing with the "Big Four".. Will you be able to say the same at the end of this season??.

Give over!

How can you say you can compete on the same level as us and the other 3?

You're in the bottom 3 and at are best a mid-table team!

Erm, how can I say that??. Let me see.....

Chelsea 1 - 1 Tottenham,

4rsen4l 4 - 4 Tottenham,

Tottenham 2 - 1 Liverpool

Add to that Man Utd scoring an equaliser in the 94th minute at the very end of last season and the 2-1 win against Chelsea, think that shows how I can say that we have PROVEN that we are more than capable of competing with the top 4..

As it as been said on a previous post.

Most knowledgeable football people and pundits, say the Premiership is a 3 horse race.

Unfortunately for you deluded gooners, you were not mentioned.

Lets hope for your sakes you can secure European football, next season.

Intresting question, will Wenger still field so-called weakened teams in Carling + F A Cups now that the

Premier league is virtually over.?

Only just!

Good old Bolton!

:lol::lol::lol:

Yep, agreed. They were so kind to give us three points last sunday and kickstart our run. You know the run I'm talking about midfield??. The run where we beat Bolton 2-0, drew with a superb 4rsen4l side that has no weaknesses whatsoever (except a recent inability to beat Tottenham) and then went on to beat top of the table and undefeated Liverpool to take 7 points from a possible 9 points in Arry's first three games.

Hell, the bubble may well burst when we face Man City next week but boy have things changed in the space of seven short days.. :yahoo::c:

Il stick my neck and say this will be a FACT come next May!!Neither Arsenal or Spurs will be Premier League Champions!!

Spurs fans make me laugh..they remind me of liverpool fans...they get a good result and then think they are going to win trophies on a regular basis!!Spurs will stay up, and arsenal will end up in the top 4 again.....so regardless of the point they got at the emirates..arsenal fans will have the bragging rights come the end of the season as to who finished higher in the league!!

Im a man united fan....man city took 6 points off us last season.....tough tittys..Premiership and European Champions!!Lovely!!

foz06.Can you show me after the week us Spurs fans have had, where we fans have been saying that we

are going to win trophies.

If you are a Mancs, good luck at the weekend.

WOULD BE NICE TO RUB THE SCUMS NOSES IN IT.

If i could show you a few of my mates who are spurs fans i would!!But trust me....they are hoping for good cup runs....obviously as we know in football anything can happen!!To be honest i like spurs..good side on there day, but you need to get rid of that clown Gomes...if it wasnt for him, you may have got three points at the emirates instead of 1.....!!

Yes Gomes has not cut the mustard,as yet.

3pts would have been terrific on Wednesday night, but I think the way we scored twice very late, made it

feel like victory, and as you can see on this Forum,by christ,it hurt those little Gooners.

7 pts for the week is more than I expected. So im happy.

fair play...2 of my mates are arsenal fans and they were distraught wednesday and absolutely devastated saturday!!FACES WERE PICTURES!!

Sorry everyone, did not write those facts down clear enough for all to understand.

Fact: That 1-2 reverse at your place in 1999 remains the only defeat Wenger (god) has suffered against Spurs in 24 meetings in the Premier League.

It's now 25 by the way.
