Julian Chenery
St Stephens Borough v Torpoint Athletic (Duchy League) Excellent competitive game ending in a 1-1 draw. John Docherty own goal put Borough ahead on 84 mins, Neil Williams pen following a foul by Phil Screech drew Torpoint level 2 minutes later. Poured with rain all afternoon but not a bit of mud anywhere. The joys of modern technology!
Woodmanaldo
Grampound (Duchy 2) 1 Falmouth 3rds (FH1) 0 Weeks An excellent performance from Grampound, the home side dominated the first half and it was no surprise when they took the lead after a Varnell cross field ball found the onrushing Weeks who calmly slotted the ball into the corner of the net. Good battling play by Ford resulted with him being upended in the penalty area but Varnell's spot kick crashed against the post. Grampound could of won by more goal but missed some guilt edged chances with Ford and Dean Dunn both having good opportunities in the second half. Falmouth were given a lifeline with 15 minutes left after Fletcher was harshly adjudged to have handled in the area but Cooke turned the spot kick round the post.
