Guest Gloworm
At what stage to Truro enter the FA cup this season? I heard that it is the 1st qualifying round, but not certain about that. And is there any chance of a cup run? Thanks, Gloworm.
Mike Odgers
If its same format as last season it will be from the Preliminary round (Unless they get a bye)-same as the rest of Cornish clubs.
Guest Postie Pidge
Mike, do you know when the draw is?
Mike Odgers
Mike, do you know when the draw is? The FA will declare the draw on their website 11-00am Tuesday 1st. July. Also the draw for the F A Vase, which I understand the prize money has been increased. Entries for this season FA cup has risen to 762 clubs previous 07/08 731; 06/07 685; 05/06 674 clubs. From what I can gather there were 777 applications for the F A cup which resulted in 762 acceptances-this leaves 15 disappointed clubs!

Shaftesbury(Wessex L.Div1)/Falmouth Town v Truro City winners Home to Yate Town(Southern L.Premier) In the Vas 20th.Sept. Street (W.L.Premier) v Falmouth Town Good news for me only a few SW clubs I have not visited and Shaftesbury and Street will be a debut for me. All to play for in the FA Cup with bumper Home game(s) (lol) to follow.
Guest john
Potential Falmouth Town v Truro City game. Could be a big crowd money spinner for Falmouth? But does the home team have to share the gate money? Not that Truro need the money.
Graham Martin
I really do hope Town can see off Shaftsbury as I would love to be at a Town v City FA Cup tie at Bickland Park.
Mark Jones
If Falmouth got Truro City does the FA choose when the game will played? It would be good if it was a friday night as it would pull a massive crowd. but i some how sense that the FA tells you when to play.
Mike Odgers
Only if the ground is unavailable on the Saturday (eg.cricket) that a Friday or Sunday would the F.A. authorise. But there again Sky T.V. would have a say if they were interested
