St Blazey Res 3v4 Mousehole Res. Att.91

A brilliant cup tie under the Blaise Park lights. Mousehole raced into a two goal lead, St Blazey pulled one back and in no time Mousehole were 1v4 up before the break and cruising to victory. Mousehole two quick and St Blazey not defending well enough.

What happened at half time will remain a mystery.

St Blazey scored early on to make the scoreline a bit easier on the eye. Suddenly the slick passing was no more and St Blazey were stronger in the tackle and quicker to every ball. With chances coming and going, St Blazey made it 3v4 to give themselves a real chance. Mousehole just couldn't get out their own half. St Blazey looked quicker, and lively. The Mousehole goalkeeper was busy, making a good save from a header at the near post and then from a free kick. St Blazey just couldn't get the equaliser which in the end they fully deserved for their efforts but Mousehole hung on to go through.

After the first half, you just couldn't see that being the case. That's why we love football, the unpredictable things that happen.

Good luck to Mousehole.

St Blazey back in league action on Saturday when they face Nanpean at Blaise Park.
