The league positions might have suggested a different scoreline but although Illogan went ahead in the 3rd minute (here we go...), a cross from the left headed in at the far post (by "Seymour"?), Hayle, playing up the slope, deservedly equalised (14) when a corner from the left was headed home. Indeed, Hayle wasted two nailed-on chances to go ahead, a one-on-one that I think Wyatt just managed to touch inches wide of his right post just before half-time and a somehow-missed cross from the right that eluded Wyatt but also the forward zooming in beyond him just after half-time. Illogan had upped their game a little but despite going ahead on 65 - another header from a left-wing cross - they were hanging on at the end. Not many of the usual faces there this evening and no tea-hut (the lady apparently on duty in the bar - but you couldn't expect a volunteer to be in two places at once! Missed my hot chocolate, though! Good to see the youngsters at training on the youth pitch - well done to the volunteers coaching there. Decent-sized crowd. Home again on Saturday?
