Guest Paul Collings Posted May 13, 2019 Report Posted May 13, 2019 It is just possible that a few older forum users will remember my older brother who sadly lost a long fight with cancer at the weekend aged 70. Dave started his playing career with the successful Looe side in the late sixties and went on to play South Western League football with St B!azey, Torpoint, Liskeard and Launceston but he equally enjoyed playing for the fun of it, for the craic, with lower league sides including Pelynt\Polperro, Penwithick, Trewoon and Malabar where his playing days ended.
Guest Posted May 13, 2019 Report Posted May 13, 2019 Yes indeed, remember playing against Dave in the sixties, I think he played for Pelynt/Polperro also in the early Cornwall Sunday League, far too good for that! another taken far too soon. RIP Dave
Dave Deacon Posted May 13, 2019 Report Posted May 13, 2019 Sorry to hear this Paul. Played with your brother when he was with Truro City 2nds. And my brother Graham played a season with him at Polperro. Condolences to John and yourself and all the family
Martin McHugh Posted May 13, 2019 Report Posted May 13, 2019 Sad news Paul, all the best from the players and members of Liskeard FC. MQx
