Paul Collings
For many people the highlight of the true grass roots football season in Cornwall is the Duchy League's knock Out Cup Final. Sticker FC's superb facilities at Burngullow Park (PL26 7EN) is the place to be tomorrow (Monday May 1st) for the most attractive fixture on offer. On site parking, refreshments, bar, covered stand. The pitch should be softened up nicely and I predict the showers to end at 5 o'clock with the sun coming out by half time. Kick off is at 6.00 pm. Entry is just £2 per adult, bring your well behaved kids in for free. This season's final, sponsored by KMD Developments, brings together Junior Cup winners and Duchy Premier Champions, St Minver, and the probable Duchy One Champions, St Dennis, doing battle for the John Cudlipp Memorial Trophy. Match officials will be Alan Howells, Keith Butler & Scott McKenzie

cat weasel
Congratulations to st minver but we didn't make it easy for them!!! 2 hotly disputed goals has left a bitter taste in the mouth of the st dennis faithful but nonetheless a great achievement by st minver and we wish them every success in the future

Paul Collings
A crowd approaching 150 braved the cold, damp evening to witness the final. Superb hospitality and support from all at the Sticker club. I have to agree with the reports, either side could have won it on the night but what a fantastic achievement by St Minver. The players' trophies were presented by KMD Developments CEO, William (Willie) Kitto and the John Cudlipp Memorial Trophy was presented by John's widow, Carol. It was particularly pleasing to see one of our young referees, Scott McKenzie, do such a great job on the line.

Dave Witts
Thanks for the kind words and agreed this was a great match and could have gone either way, but we just seem to have found a way to grind results out this season. Absolute credit to St Dennis who provided us a completely new challenge with their high tempo gameplay with pace to burn all around the park. Very best of luck for the rest of their season and good luck in the Premiership next season. Thanks for a brilliant job by the league and the awesome hosts Sticker :-)

Absolute credit must go to St Dennis for causing us more problems to solve than most of the teams we have played this season and massive congratulations to them on securing the Division 1 title tonight and I am sure they will do very well in the Premier Division next season.
