Guest danny-efc-pafc Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 how can england not quailfy for the euro championships its a disgrace the amount of money they get paid, tonight they were so bad it was as if there was 11 strangers out on the field, none of them showed any passion really, england are supposed to be up with the best in the world not beating teams like macedonnia in the group stages and isreal are hardly world class, the had the easiest group out of the home nations, but as normal fail to perform england players - over rated, overpaid, "superstars" pathetic
Paul Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 We havnt got many good players, thats fact. Some of that side would not stand out if they played in the championship!! FACT!! Croatia play some sexy football, they way you want to watch it played. England...WOEFUL!!
Guest plainmoor Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 The picture says it all..............The England back four! .
Guest Peppermint Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 Yes Plainmoor - the England back four were the worst I have ever seen in an England team. That in front of a keeper who had a complete nightmare added up to total disaster. Plus all that money paid for a Stadium and although not an excuse for England, the condition of the pitch was an absolute disgrace. We were better of playing internationals at club grounds with good surfaces.
Paul Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 Yes the pitch was a mess, but lets face it, Croatia played some fantastic football on it. Its not about the pitch, its about the clowns we call England players. If skill could be bottled, croatia could sell it by the pallet!! England could just about muster enough to fill a dirty milk bottle and sell it on E-bay!!!!
hammers Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 I agree England were rubbish, Mc Clarren is most likely the happiest man today, got all the blame for Englands failure, but walked away with a cool 2.5 Million, not bad for 18 months, as for the Wembley pitch a disgrace, The Stadium cost Millions, Why was a roof not fitted as with the Milenium Stadium in Cardif.? Some bright spark needs his ass kicked all the way to Croatia, Plus the fact the Players are more interested in how well their clubs do, & really do not care about the National Team, they get good money each week so why should they care, also a lot of English players are over rated, & not fit for purpose, Hammers :c:
Guest Postie Pidge Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 In Wembley we have what is probably one of the best stadiums in the world - certainly the most famous, but why the hell was American Football played on it so close to such an important game. Along with the rain, playing on a ruined pitch and playing badly at that England cannot and should not use that as an excuse for such an abysmal result and one of the most humiliating displays in history.
Guest Doomer17 Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 First of all how did anybody know it was going to be 'an important game'!? Pidge, every englishman expected us to be securely qualified by then. I think regardless of how poor we were, Croatia were excellent. Eduardo showing exactly why Wenger bought him, linking well constantly with his partner, the midfield battling, and their defence.. Well, lets be honest, if a formation consists of an 8 foot beanpole alone upfront, you take with you a newspaper and quite possibly your mobile phone! Seriously, the formation was almost as if it was picked by A croation fan! "go on mate, choose the formation you think will least work for England!" And the team, that was surely a dare! Or drew out of a hat!
