Paul Collings Posted April 9, 2017 Report Share Posted April 9, 2017 I was saddened to hear last night that Peter Alford, past chairman and manager at the former Lamerton FC, had died. The club played at Pete's Cardwell Farm from the early 2000s until disbanding a couple of season ago. i have no further details at this time. Referee Posted April 12, 2017 Report Share Posted April 12, 2017 Mr Alford was always welcoming to Referees and Away Teams and always very chatty in the Chillaton Arms afterwards.I enjoyed Reffing there when they got successful promotions from the old Div 4 East all the way to the Premier Division and Paul used to ask me to do pre-season friendlies for them.
