Illogan 5-0 hayle , we won the toss defended against the wind and did not really get out of our half , loads of pressure but defended really well until a long wind assisted shot squirmed pass Scotty 1-0 it looked like we could go in with this score but gave away a pen and then another followed very quickly , so we were up against it second half within in a couple of mins we were four down and another came soon after , not at the races today illogan are a top side and deserve the league , and even when they were 5 up as some sides have done in past they did not take the Mickey out of us , a class club on and off the pitch and a credit to combo football ,they will be missed but will carry on with the reserves stepping up , they could have got more and kept pressing us all over the park , a mention to Paul WIndle who retires at the end of the season from refereeing he had nothing to do and talks to the players and explains his decsions , I have enjoyed his company and wish him well one of the top refs even though he makes you run right backs , for hayle has been a better season and at times we have played good football , the young lads have adapted to senior football really well all credit to Colin and jammo who have had to keep them together and it has showed they are getting better and stronger and hopefully with one or two tweaks they can push on next season a mention to Alex who started the ball rolling with the youngsters , as a club hayle have stabilised after the events before the season started with losing a team and management and the three adult teams are now filled with local players who want to play for hayle well done to everyone at the club behind the scenes who have contributed to this and well done to all the players
