A weekend of tricky games all round in the prem, torpoint on an excellent run but elburton always put in a good performance against tough opposition. I fancy morwenstow to prove a tough opponent today too, they always play their pitch well and they will be well up for high flying parkway. Tavistock always pick up points but if lanreath turn up with their traditional gutsy never say die attitude I can see them getting a share of the points. Launceston and bere will both fancy winning their game so I think that will be a cracker. Saltash host a very stubborn probus with both teams hoping to get back to winning ways. Millbrook v bude I'm sure will be a close game, bude are decent and millbrook keep grinding results, both teams will go for the win to knock the other off the pace a little:

I predict:

Torpoint win

Morwenstow draw

Lanreath draw

Bere win

Millbrook win

Saltash win

Elburton have imploded of late and Torpoint are on this great run, plus they may have some lads back from Uni

Lanreath is a horrible place to go but Tavy are the clean sheet specialists this season and Jamie Castle is going back to his old club in excellent form.

Tavy have got that 'stick together team spirit' that we used to have at Bere and goes a long way in the ECPL.

Launceston have been the surprise package this season for all the wrong reasons...don't think anyone expected them to stuggle. Bere have lost a lot of quality players but should have Euan McCall, Ed Hillier and possibly Aaron Rockey back today

Millbrook and Bude won't be a goalfest but will be the 'game of the day' and very tight

Morwenstow do play their pitch really well and have been in some decent form but Parkway are flying at the moment

Saltash will come up against another horrible side in Probus and that won't make for much of a spectacle

Torpoint Win

Tavistock Win

Bere Win

Parkway Win

Millbrook and Bude Draw

Saltash and Probus Draw

Coach KT some good points made, what I like this year is the league is much more competitive in terms of more quality teams. Millbrook and liskeard have done very well, now the "bottom" teams are nowhere near as poor as boro or Bodmin were last season. Bere, morwenstow and probus have improved from my recollection of last year so it's a good healthy competitive league. I'm sure at the end of the season, the team in 5th place would have enough points to put them third in the last couple years, shows the improvement in the teams playing

Agree with both statements . The league is a lot more competitive this season with all teams capable of taking points off each other . We morwenstow had a shaky start but found some form as shown at Elburton with a good team performance . With Bodmin and borough gone its hard to say who the real weak teams are . And every game is hard for all teams . Should be a very interesting season . Think bere losing dan folllit a big loss Kev but sure they will be around mid table again as long as keep rest of the squad

Scrappy game at Lanreath today where it could have been 1-6 or 2-2.

Credit to Lanreath for battling until the end but half a dozen 3 yard misses could have cost us today.

3 points better off but conceding a silly goal has made it feel like a loss and the beer won't taste as sweet tonight.

Morwenstow 2 v 3 parkway

Was a very close game which should of been a draw on the balance of things . We took a 1 0 lead after 5 mins then parkway made it 1 1 20mins later and stayed that till half time .

2nd half parkway took the lead through a good finish by Lewis young then we got a pen to make it 2 2 . Then with 5 mins to go Lewis got the winner with a finish about 6 yards out . Both keepers made some good saves In both halfs .

Got to say parkway are defiantly are bogey team last season lost both games by 1 goal and same this season bloody shame they can't go up so wouldn't have to play them again lol . Good luck to them for rest of season good bunch of lads .

Big result for millbrook today well done to them .

St Teath 3 Edgcumbe 2.

Great game and a brilliant performance from the st Teath gk. I think iv seen him use the forum quite a bit so thought I'd make a rare appearance on the forum to give him the plaudits he deserves after 4/5 top class saves today.

As for the game, thought we deserved something out of it, we've now played the 2 top sides in the last 2 games and been unlucky to perhaps only have 1 point to show for it.

Fair play to both Bodmin and st Teath though, that's why they're up there.

All the best to the st teath boys, always a great battle down there and apologies once again for not being able to come back for some after match food/drink.

Thanks bigdawg! Got lucky today ! I thought edgecumbe were quality and deserved more from the game!!

They will be up there come the end of the season !

I thought that mark "leathalzone14" grills was man of the match tbh! He's quite a hand full for a midget!?!

Delighted with the result and the fact I'm not getting my usual well deserved abuse!

St.blazey gate 5 st.stephen 11

16 goals in the game blazey gate went 1 up in forst couple minutes gd finish but it showed that we hadn't played in 6 weeks as none of us had switched on. After that we actually switched on and started playin some decent fotie and by 35 mins was 5-1 up think at that point we all thought game over and completly stopped working and playin and blazey gate came back to 5-4 by about 42 mins then we took a 6-4 lead in to half time with jus about last kick of the first half! Second half we played for the whole 45 mins and completly dominated the game scoring anova 5 with blazey gates stand out player scoring an absolout peach from the half way line! I think had we not had a 6 week break we wud have won so much more comfortably as we were very gd in front of goal today! Jus like to mention the incident at half time were one of the blazey gate club people I belive he was gave a mouth full of abuse to my 2 your old son for playing with a cone and then decide to abuse my misus and the whole of our supporters and absoloutley disgracful act of imaturity from some one I belive is an ex referre or still is reffing there was no need at all and wen we play the return fixture an apology wud be very much welcomed!

That your right winger? If so then yeh he played well. But thought your best player was the bald guy in the middle. Oldest player on the pitch setting an example to us wannabes!

Ref had a good game today as well (as usual - not sure of name but he's always good), thought we coulda had a pen in last few mins for handball but apart from that did well. And you prob woulda saved the pen anyway!

Whats happenning out bere at the moment? heard they were poor today? Millbrook with the win of the week, hammering bude, got to make them favourites now?

Tavi and Saltash quietly going about their business, dont think either will win the league at all, but champion league and europa places could be a target for these two.

Parkway only had the bare 11 today i hear, sounds like Lewis Young is hitting form at the right time for them.

Nice to hear opinions and reflections from both sides, jayjay i heard you kept your team in the game and if it wasnt for you it could have been a cricket score?

Elburton could have caused an upset today against Torpoint, just as they did against them away.

I look at this league, the teams who play in it, and the players in those teams...what a league!!!! in MY opinion, a better standard than the Carlsberg West division.

Hi sparky-4

Yeah I had a good game in 2nd half 1st half all I really had to do was a few crosses and pick ball out of net .

First half Ian Evans kept parkway in it with 2 great saves if they had gone in would of been a different story maybe !!!

Parkway are a good team and only won iit with 5 to go they had 12 players the same as us so was even in that aspect . Don't think they will win the league but will be top 5 .

We have proved we can mix it with the so called big boys which is pleasing for a small village team .

Just found out the Parkway manager named himself on the bench mate, so technically they had 11.

Great to see martin smith losing his 6 stone. Absolutely superb, well done fella!!!

I see Roche are very quiet again???? Seen them a few times and don't think there that good a lot better teams in the league and I think that will show at the end of the season

Bit harsh!!!!

Played Roche earlier this season and they are a well organised side who will push for promotion if not the title!! There are lots of sides in this league who could win it and its going to be about consistency ! To say that there are better sides in the league is a bit if a cop out! Any of the top four could win it!
