Footballer15 Posted August 31, 2012 Report Posted August 31, 2012 What will happen with Truro City reserves? Will they be playing tomorrow against Vospers Oak Villa? Also hear Sean Johnston has left the club as well?
matt george Posted August 31, 2012 Report Posted August 31, 2012 Truro City Reserves will be fulfilling their fixture at Vospers tomorrow afternoon. Sean has decided to re-join Penryn.
Footballer15 Posted August 31, 2012 Author Report Posted August 31, 2012 What's the team looking like for tomorrow? What are the chances of the club being sorted?
matt george Posted August 31, 2012 Report Posted August 31, 2012 The team will depend on any last minute selections for the firsts otherwise we should have 14/15 available as per training. As for the long term I guess it depends on the outcome of the court case on Monday as to how it affects the reserves, who knows ?
Footballer15 Posted August 31, 2012 Author Report Posted August 31, 2012 After a bad result against Sticker, lets hope you bounce back tomorrow against Vospers. Any new signings to replace Sean?
matt george Posted August 31, 2012 Report Posted August 31, 2012 Not yet but with 20 + players registered we should be ok this sat. What would also help this week would if we could pass the ball to each other once in a while !
Footballer15 Posted September 1, 2012 Author Report Posted September 1, 2012 What was the score and team line-up against Vospers Matt?
matt george Posted September 2, 2012 Report Posted September 2, 2012 Vospers 1 Truro 0 A great battling performance against a well organised Vospers side. Un done by a poor piece of officiating where a goal bound shot was blocked hit the bar , the net moved and the ref have the goal, the assistant , who WAS in line with the ball, said it didn't go in but the ref from 25 yards away and NOT in line with the ball overruled. FairPlay to the Vospers lads they carried on didn't cause a fuss and were delighted to get the goal. I don't like to slate refs they do a great job on the whole but several mystifying decision for both teams didn't help the game. I suppose when you at the bottom you don't get the rub of the green. But for some wayward finishing we should have won the game as we had the lions share of possession with Scott and Jack going close with efforts. We need goals, we play well in the first two thirds and look strong at the back but can't quite find the finishing touch in front of goal. As you can see from the team below we were also down to the bare 11 for various reasons such as birthdays parties, with myself and the manager on the bench, surprisingly players who got a slight injury decided to stay on rather than risk our ageing limbs ! Team: (4-4-2) Luke P Andy E, Josh, Adam W, Mothy Harry E, Mike V, Andy B, Mike J Jack B, Scott P Subs: (not used) Matt G (player-coach), Dan C (gk), Gary P (gaffer) MOM: Mike Vanes
Footballer15 Posted September 2, 2012 Author Report Posted September 2, 2012 Such a shame that a refereeing decision cost you some points yesterday. Only a small squad? Any notable names as to who was missing?
matt george Posted September 2, 2012 Report Posted September 2, 2012 As far as I'm aware these players were not available for various reasons, Rob D, (21st birthday) Matt L (busy / work), Calron H (with 1st team), Carney (coaching on the Isles of Scilly), Olly M (work), Stu E (in Bristol), just one of those weekends when everyone was busy!
No Idea Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 It was a shocking decision!! Speaks volume when the vospers players openly admitt it wasn't a goal and truro should have had two penalties. It's amazing when the laws of football change the law of physics as the ref was heard to say the ball was hit up on to the bar and bounced out but the ball had crossed the line when it hit the bar. Then changed his story to the ball hit the net behind the cross bar and bounced out in front of the line...WOW!!
Big_baller Posted September 4, 2012 Report Posted September 4, 2012 Ollie Morrison is a class player, heard and seen great things from this boy, he will definitely help Truro this season if he's available!
Nemesis Posted September 5, 2012 Report Posted September 5, 2012 Ollie Morrison, far too good for SWPL West. The lad is still young, won trophies with Newquay U18's last season, represented Cornwall Youth and would walk into any side in the West and most of the Prem. Ollie is better than most teenagers in the County, I'd suggest that Footballer15 has used his usual match day number in his name here.
Big_baller Posted September 5, 2012 Report Posted September 5, 2012 I also disagree with footballer15, Ollie is a talent and if you have watched him play alot then you will also share myself and nemisis view on him, I'm expecting great things from him this year and in the future!
Footballer15 Posted September 6, 2012 Author Report Posted September 6, 2012 Is it true that Truro City reserves have been deducted 10 points, as well as the first team?
riggins74 Posted September 6, 2012 Report Posted September 6, 2012 Unfortunately they have, the SWPL website has been updated
matt george Posted September 6, 2012 Report Posted September 6, 2012 Difficult times ahead, in the hands of the administrators, lets hope they can a find a buyer to keep the club going.
Footballer15 Posted September 6, 2012 Author Report Posted September 6, 2012 Any news? Have any bids been made for the club?
TheolderIgetthebetterIwas Posted September 6, 2012 Report Posted September 6, 2012 Well what the hell do you think you would be buying ????? NOTHING!!!!!!! I would not pay the obligatory £1 for it.
