morcs
Junior Cup East Division Round Three Mount Charles (Div 4) 3 - 2 Tywardreath RBL (Div 1) WOOOOOOOW!!!! MC into the last 8 that is amazing!!!! Credit to Mount Charles on the day. We (Tywardreath) showed the complacency I was worried about and were as poor as I can remember this season. The conditions were awful, are changing room was leaking rain water, there were no showers and the pitch was shite as expected.....why couldnt they have cut the grass? It was certainly a leveller but i was expecting much more grit from Tywardreath. We were 3-0 down at one point and then suddenly we started to follow Mount Charles tactics as you couldn't play football on such a poor pitch. We scored 2 fairly quick goals and were pretty much camped in their half at the end. I honestly thought we would win at that point and i'm sure Mount Charles were thinking the same. We were awarded a last minute penalty for a handball on the line and unfortunately for us the inevitable happened and Jonesy blasted the spot kick over the bar! So frustrating as it would have made it 3-3 and in my opinion we would have won in extra time because Mount Charles were looking very tired! I wish Mount Charles well in the last 8 but this leaves a bitter taste in the mouth, a real missed opportunity for Tywardreath. Back to the league now and trying to secure promotion to the Premier. Guest bootboy
Nice to see the underdogs doing well in the Jnr Cup. Lets see if Padstow can continue in the same vein next week against Boscastle. "Green Army"
Dave Deacon
Thanks Maximus - the results are received direct from the League rep, and he didn't have one for your game. I think the (1) and (2) relates to the Division they're in.

"Green Army" should be a good game but think boscastle will be just a little to strong for you on sat but looking forward to the game !!!! played boscastle few times last year for st merryn, very good spirited games apart from when we played at your place and the referee started the 2nd half with us only having 4 players on the pitch PMSL does dingle still play for you lot, he must save you a lot of points a season, one of the best keepers i came up against in any duchy team i played against. good luck at the weekend and hope its not affected by the weather too much blowsy (number 10) ;)
