Referee
PLEASE INFORM THE PLAYERS AND MATCH OFFICIALS AS EARLY AS IS PRACTICABLE TO SAVE TRAVEL EXPENSES. THIS WILL ALSO ALLOW PEOPLE TO ARRANGE WATCHING ANOTHER GAME THAT IS ON. I'M DOING A LOCAL PITCH INSPECTION TOMORROW MORNING FOR A LOCAL TEAM SO THAT THEY WON'T HAVE TO RE-PAINT LINES, PAY REFEREES, MAKE SANDWICHES, HOT WATER BOILER, PAY STAFF TO SERVE, ETC; IF IT IS OBVIOUSLY UNPLAYABLE. LET'S USE SOME COMMON SENSE AND CONCERN FOR OUR FELLOW PLAYERS, FANS AND OFFICIALS. ATLEAST TWO MATCHES ARE DEFINITELY ON, PREMIER SIXES IN THE DUCHY LEAGUE AND ST STEPHENS BOROUGH VS POLPERRO IN A TOP-OF-THE-TABLE CLASH IN THE ECFL. (YEP, 3G SURFACES!) B Manning
Hi Referee, thats bad luck about those games being on, looking at the weather forecast for tomorrow it would seem the best place will be at home in the dry.
Referee
NAH ! 'TIS A GOOD FEELING KNOWING MY GAME IS ON TOMORROW, MIGHT EVEN BE A FEW MORE THERE THAN USUAL IF NOBODY ELSE IS PLAYING. I'VE HEARD OF ATLEAST ONE MATCH IN SALTASH AREA CALLED OFF ALREADY SO THEY MAY JUST POP DOWN TO SALTMILL TO SEE ST STEPHENS BOROUGH VS POLPERRO. QUITE POSSIBLY ONE OF THE BIGGEST GAMES TO AVOID THE BAD WEATHER ! BOTH TEAMS HAVE PERFORMED VERY WELL THIS SEASON AND BOTH HAVE BEEN VERY WELL SUPPORTED (I SHOULD KNOW BY THE AMOUNT OF GRIEF THEY SOMETIMES GIVE ME!) JUST PUTTING MY BLACK OUTFIT IN MY BAG; ROLL ON 3 O'CLOCK........

Referee
I NEVER USED TO BE A FAN OF THESE ARTIFICIAL PITCHES BUT I'M STARTING TO CHANGE MY VIEW SOMEWHAT. MIGHT BE THE BIGGEST CROWD PREMIER SIXES HAVE HAD SINCE THEY FORMED !!
B Manning
Officiated on the 3G surfaces several times now and must admit I am not a fan of them, although they are a vast improvement on the early ones , I officiated on the original one at Loftus Road and that was awful but to me something still seems to be missing in regard to a game of football. Anita
I'm not a fan of them, some the lines 'rub' off really easy, others have that horrid black rubber stuff that gets everywhere, i even found some in my hair once But on a plus side i guess games do get played :drink:
Referee
JUST BEEN CALLED BY ST STEPHENS BOROUGH AT 11.30AM AND THE GAME IS OFF DUE TO THE GALE FORCE WINDS BLOWING THE GOALPOSTS AND DUGOUTS ACROSS THE PARK THEREFORE DEEMING IT UNPLAYABLE ! NEVER MIND, TAVISTOCK GAME WAS STILL ON, LAST I HEARD.
