Soccer Follower
West Cornwall League Cup West Cornwall 5 Wendron 2 h/t 2-2 Wendron two up inside ten minutes and a cup shock looked on the cards.West cornwall settled down and brought the scores level before half time. Although West Cornwall played down the slope in the second half and enjoyed the lion's share of possession, the dogged visitors held out and it was not until the 75th minute that Stu Rule turned in the box and gave Lewis Saundry no chance.Graham Sturr scored a quick fourth and a fifth arrived in the closing minutes. Enjoyable game to referee, well done both teams.
oldasitgets
Crowntown 3 Gloweth 8 A much better day at the office for Crowntown even though they lost. They had a squad of players and for much of the game competed with the visitors from the higher division, scoring first. The fimal scoreline flattered Gloweth a little. A couple of fortunate goals - a richochet and a deflection. A couple of goalkeeper errors and the Gloweth goalie made some terrific stops. Half -time 5-2 Crowntown scorers Gareth Perry 2, Pete Lamin 1 Gloweth scorers, Chris Jones 5, Leo Smith, Michael hodges, Dean Peters one each. Game played in a fine spirit, well reffed by Mike Carter. Also heard Culdrose Star 8 TMS 0, Tremough 4 Penz Astro

You got a great bunch of lads there and with a little time and effort your'll come good. Was a good game to play in and as bill said the scoreline probably flattered us a little with our keeper on good form. But also plenty of chances missed by us too. Thanks for the Grub back at the pub too, was very nice.
morcs
Newquay Central 0 - 7 St Blazey. Another good victory for St Blazey in the league this time. Thats 16 goals in 2 games without conceding, looking fairly good on all fronts!
Bumdingo
Newquay Central 0 - 7 St Blazey. Another good victory for St Blazey in the league this time. Thats 16 goals in 2 games without conceding, looking fairly good on all fronts! Really impressive performance against the Cornwall Sunday Leagues bottom team! I think we stuck 11 past them! Luxulyan 1 - Carlyon Arms 9, the result puts us 4 points clear at the top.

Mark Picken
mpad won in the cup against shortlanesend. think the final score was 5-2. game was probably a little closer than the scoreline suggests but mpad were worthy of the win Agree that the game was probably a little closer that the scoreline suggests, despite us hitting the crossbar/post 4 or 5 times. A great penalty save from Pigeon meant it was 1-1 at half time. Two goals from us in the space of 5 minutes after the restart seemed to have killed the game off, but Shortlanesend just kept going and came back to 3-2. Two more goals in the last 10 minutes, when they were chasing the game, saw us through. Shortlanesend are such a different team this year from the last couple of seasons. They really made us work very hard for the win and kept going.
jobysdad
Tremough 4 PZ Astropark 1 Good game of football, well refereed and fairly contested. The teams were fairly well matched for most of the first half, Tremough taking a 2-0 lead before we pulled 1 back from Corey Howes. Unfortunately we couldnt hold on til halftime and conceded a 3rd just before the break. Battled well in 2nd half but to be fair Tremough probably shouldve scored a few more. Well done and good luck in the cup and league. Much prefer playing at falmouth over walking 1/4 mile through long grass to a dodgy pitch!
