oldasitgets Posted September 6, 2009 Report Share Posted September 6, 2009 Penzance Astro 15 Crowntown 1 Crowntown, already re-building after losing over half last season's players, lost another 4 key players this morning to unusual but credible Sunday morning stories, were taken apart by a very competent Astro Team. West Cornwall 22 Posted September 6, 2009 Report Share Posted September 6, 2009 West Cornwall 4-2 Booters Good first game for West Cornwall new to sunday league football, 2-0 down West Cornwall Never gave up and came out of the game with the win! Two cracking goals to mention one from Tom Gordon in the first half for booters and one for Joe Small in the second for West Cornwall. Wendron created lots of good chances and can play football. Great performance for a new side, still learning about their team mates!! Played some lovely passing football and some cracking goals scored (particularly Luke Wallers Zola-esque backheel flick from a corner). A decent, fair game, well refereed and well contested by a Crowntown side who never stopped giving it a go. Good luck for rest of the season to a good bunch of lads. Goalscorers Luke Waller - 7 (seven!) Antony Roberts - 4 (how often do you score 4 and not get MOTM?!)
