I personally think we have got the squad to go on a decent run this year, but which 8 teams does everyone think will push for at least the quarters in this years competition (if they weren't to be drawn against each other?)

My top 8 is as follows

Torpoint

St Teath

Premier Sixes

St Austell

Looe Town

Godolphin

Bodmin Saints

St Newlyn East

Dont know much about Gerrans new set up so can't comment, and I'm not sure the new Duchy 5 boys are as strong as they have been in previous seasons although i may be wrong as it is only early days.

There are always a couple of teams from the Duchy League around the "border" who are in the Western Section in order to get the numbers right.

Judging by your reply JIGGY, it sounds as though you think the western teams are tougher than the west

I used to play for the old Cubert team that played in the mining league and we got drawn in the EASTERN Section despite playing in the WESTERN leagues.

I think the cusp teams are Holywell/Cubert, St Newlyn East, Probus, Tregony and Grampound

We(Torpoint) have been beaten in the area final for the past two seasons and regard this competion high on our agenda, so we will be busting a gut to make it third time lucky.

Alot of good teams to look out for and all il say is lookout for the underdog!!!!!!
