Wendron 4-2 Constantine 

A good battle in boggy conditions. Wendron started the brighter and went 1-0 up with a lovely top corner finish and played far better for the first 20 minutes. Tine took a while to get into the game but had the better of the next 25 and equalised through an equally good goal. 

Wendron came out the blocks strong in the second half as again Constantine couldn’t seem to get into the game. Several good saves came from the Tine keeper before Wendron eventually went 2-1 up. 

It was one way traffic for the first 25 mins of the second half and Wendron soon found themselves 3-1 up.

The game was now stretched with both sides seeking goals. Constantine trying to change formation and personnel.

Eventually Wendron went 4-1. Tine then brought on 4 subs to bring the already average age down further and to the credit of those players they played some lovely football for spells in the last 15 mins, eventually pulling 1 goal back to make it 4-2.  A goal disallowed for Tine (probably rightly) for offside in the last 5 minutes was the last action. 

Scoreline probably fair. Really happy with the progress of my Tine squad. Although we have lost, it still feels like another step forward.

Great result and performance from the whole squad in our local derby yesterday, thought we dominated through out and even though the pitch started to get cut up and boggy we carried on playing good football till the very end on a difficult surface! Hopefully now that result will be the start of a little winning run!
