Mike Odgers Posted April 4, 2009 Report Share Posted April 4, 2009 This seasons Vase final will between Glossop North End (Derbyshire) and Whitley Bay(North Tyneside) Whitley Bay who triumphed(0-3) at Truro last season are considered the best team to have visited Treyew Road in recent times. Glossop NE of the North West Counties(Premier) League won 6-5 on penalties against Chalfont St.Peter and Whitley Bay(Northern League 1) defeated Lowestoft 3-2 on aggregate. Guest Lightwood Posted April 4, 2009 Report Share Posted April 4, 2009 Glossop North End were 2 - 1 down (and out) until the third minute of injury time in extra time. With the last kick of open play they scored the equaliser, they then went on to win the penalty shoot-out.
