Having played against Illogan this weekend, based on what we have seen this season, we generally agreed that they looked the best footballing side out of the top 3, they pass the ball well and have some very talented individuals and a relatively young squad (but even the 'just for men' guy looked awesome yesterday!)

Perranporth also have a mean defensive record and some fantastic players, whereas Perranwell look like a real threat going forward and have some quality and loyal lads in the team.

With the points being so close at the top, which games do you think will have an influence on who wins the title? St Ives have a good record against top teams and Isaac will tell you that St Just will still have a part to play. What about Helston, are they another side capable of taking points from the top 3? Are the cups a distraction or a benefit to high-flying teams?

CTB may be able to give us some stats about remaining fixtures and the teams that the top 3 have dropped points to... it looks certain to be a very interesting run-in.

The thing to remember is that the teams with swpl sides may strenghthen when it comes to evening games so there are loads more twists and turns to come yet!!Illogan are very effectivley and quitley going about there business and seeing as they have to play both the perrans they are the main team that will either win the title or have the main say in where it goes in my humble opinion!!!

The Tinners knocked Illogan out of the cup at Oxland Parc(1-0) and won two home games against St Ives(2-1 and 2-1). Games against Perranwell are always well-contested, though they've had the edge over us in the last couple of years. We were never in the game at Ponsmere Valley (6-0), although we had chances against Illogan in the 2-0 away league defeat l.

While I agree there's a gap between the top three sides and the rest, St Just may do a bit better than three defeats in the meetings with the top three at Lafrowda if the wind is blowing. R and L is quite right about the SWPL midweek factor. Whom will this disadvantage least ? It depends which clubs are most in with refixturer John Roberts, as always ! :c: :D
