Guest little dave
jack dixon is the torpoint goalkeeper who kept another clean sheet today with some fine stops. i spoke to dan chapman after the game via the mobile and he said jack dixon is the best keeper he has seen since playing in the manchester united youth team!!!!!!!! :Santa:
bigtony!
i was working today so couldnt get to the game but i heard the lad dixon got injured again, must be a worry for ricky..!
taxdodger
yeh but he got back up again after and carried on playing, nothing serious. chapman was in a rich vein of form today again, shame about his off the field antics in the biscovy clubhouse after!! ANDY 'B'
i was working today so couldnt get to the game but i heard the lad dixon got injured again, must be a worry for ricky..! Jack Dixon is fighting fit and looking forward to stopping Launceston score any goals in next weeks top of the table match at Torpoint.
Ghost on the post
Top strikers are hard to find, score goals win games easy! Iv,e always found it hard to understand why keepers are not valued the same, stop shots win games easy! Jack is one that can do that! :drink:
Guest little dave
couldnt agree more. jack dixon should be nighted for his performances in a torpoint shirt :smiley20:
pierre luigi collina
if he gets over 100 caps for england i will agree with you but as i dont think he will get nohere near, the answer is NO! dave your a clown for even posting this thread, the poor lad must be embaresed. :(
Guest PL1
is he really that good? if so why did he get bombed from BOTTOM club elburton in the premier. a bit of a stupid thread really!!!
4-4-2
I don't know the lad but getting bombed from 1 club doesn't mean you're bad. It may just mean that manager has bad judgement. Many players have been bombed from 1 club to go on and have great success with others
ANDY 'B'
is he really that good? if so why did he get bombed from BOTTOM club elburton in the premier. a bit of a stupid thread really!!! iI understnd that it was Dixons decision to leave Elburton. He was informed that the club was getting back their old keeper as he did not like the club he had joined from Elburton, Dixon is not a person that wants to play second fiddle and why should he with the talent that he has. bigtony!
from the game`s ive seen this season the young lad dixon has done a great job, just abit worried that he seems abit injurey prone.
Mr.Ice
i do recall there being trees around at the biscovey game, a sniper might have been present as jack dixon, rob eddie, tom payne and kershaw all got shot during the 5-0 game. but i must say, jack dixon did try kicking the ball with his left foot after the injury.. never to be done again!! ANDY 'B'
Well Jack (Peter Shilton) Dixon let one in today again Launceston for the game to end in a draw. All I will say that if Peter(Jack Dixon)Shilton had been in goal then Torpoint would have won 1-
4-4-2
I think Torpoint may have struggled with Shilts in goal. How old is he now?
bigtony!
thought the young lad did ok today,to be honest he wasnt called apon to often apart from a couple of long range shots, all in all a good advert for ecpl football in a game played in difficult conditions, torpoint should have been given a second half pen thou, stone wall pen for a foul on cardew. Mr Potatoehead
ive just heard that dixon`s old club elburton villa want him back, that would be a massive blow to torpoints title hopes, anyone else no anymore about this??

Nick Pope
News to me if Dicko is returning to Elburton Villa SWPL??? Cracking young keeper with a good attitude and bright future ahead of him. Can only see him improving the more games he plays injury free at this level or higher. Dicko.... make sure you got your near post covered!!! :P
Guest `The kid Frankie`
Well if Jack Dixon is the next Peter Shilton then surley Darren Hicks is the next Petr Cech, after Dixon was shot by the same sniper that got him at Biscovey and proberly the same one that got him at saltmill(twice) Hicks had to put on the gloves in the first 20 minutes at Wadebridge last night and boy what a game he had, pulling off save after save to keep Wadebridge at bay,so not only is hicksy the best winger in the league he`s now steaking a claim to the best goalkeeper in the ecpl :clapper:
Guest tiger woods
jack dixon = quality another good keeper is ben elphick = class
Guest `The kid Frankie`
Dixon is class but not in the same league as Darren Hicks :D
ANDY 'B'
Dixon is class but not in the same league as Darren Hicks I think "The Kid" is getting a back hander or something else from Hicky to put this on the forum. Still he is not tight with his money I think all season he has brought me ..........nothing
Guest `The kid Frankie`
Come on Andy B you`ve got to agree Hicksy was `the nuts` between the sticks at wadebridge on wednesday night and he scored a 25 yarder!!! :D
ANDY 'B'
Yes he played very well in the out field and in goal. Is that another back hander you have got, or is "The Kid" Hicksy. :o
