Mr Cornwall
I very much enjoyed this game today in front of about 60-70 people. It was very cold and the wind was in one direction and the balls were all over the place. callington, with the chances they took deserved the victory. dobwalls had a game plan which was working and were the better team in the first half but at 0-0 it was anyones game. callington came out second half the much better side although when dobwalls reduced the arrears to 2-1 they certainly made callington work hard for their victory. very good performance from Chris Clark who is only 17 and the back four were brilliant. 3 yellow cards ruined the game from a good referee and many bad tackles flying in made it a really entertaining game. next up for callington is home to st austell next saturday. be there or be square. Guest ajlongcallington
Hi there, John The Baptist is partly right, Chris came from St Blazey, having signed from Callington at the beginning of the season!! He is back with us and enjoying his football and playing well. The result was excellent but is only one result following a series of excellent performances from Micky's group of lads. Saturday brings another major game with the visit of a revitalised St Austell side. Dave, surprisingly we have been contacted on two consecutive Saturdays by the lords of sport at Radio Cornwall - I wondered whether they thought the ball was a different shape, but to their credit they did quite long interviews on both occasions.
