Dave Deacon
Cornwall 1, Somerset 1 Cracking game that was played more like a cup tie than a group match. Somerset got off to a great start scoring with barely any time on the clock. Caught the County defence napping a little. However, gradually Cornwall clawed themselves back into the contest and midway through the half equalised through an unstoppable shot from the lively Billy Hopcroft. The tempo was raised by both sides in the second half as it became end to end stuff. The closest Cornwall came to taking all three points was when Josh Kemp's bender of a free kick hit the upright with the visiting 'keeper nowhere near it! Perhaps we (I say that as a Cornishman, not anything to do with the team) were a shade unlucky not to come away with a victory, but nevertheless what a great game to watch.
