David Bray
South West Counties Championship./ Senior Mens. Wednesday 14th May2008 Cornwall 2 Devon 3 Played at Lux Park, Liskeard FC. Devon win the group. Looks very much like the Senior Mens Section of the SWCC will be disbanded at the competition's AGM being held tomorrow. Only 2 'counties' left for next season, Cornwall and Devon. All the other counties have gradually withdrawn over the past few seasons. The 'youth' and 'womens' competitions remain. Guest Postie Pidge
Why not have a Tamar Cup with Cornwall and Devon meeting twice a season, once in each county?
David Bray
This might well happen, but i feel that only one match per season will take place , each taking turns to host the fixture. As per the 'Tamar Cup' in local County Rugby.
Guest Postie Pidge
You could have one before Christmas and one after. At least then more Cornish grounds could be used to share it around rather than one used every other season.
David Bray
Just got back from the SWCounties AGM near Bath. And can confirm that there will be NO Senior Section this coming season 2008/09.
