Graham Martin
City round off a great weekend with a 3 - 1 win against Farnborough. One goal from Andrew Neale and 2 from Tyler Harvey. I couldn't get there today, hope to hear a report from someone who was there. Both sides of the Tamar?
Ron Ratchford
A tough game as expected in this league. Truro defended well and still not up to full strength with ongoing injuries.
Ian Pethick
Superb weekend for City. Very early days, but sitting in the top half on the table (and level on points with title/promotion tipped, Yeovil). Would think that when the transfer window closes this week, opportunities to bolster the squad through loan signings will open up. Pedro Borges and Joe O'Connor from Exeter City were a couple of players that I heard being mentioned as possibilities. Seasider
Both Sides of the Tamar
Match Report - Truro City 3 Farnborough 1 The first half was totally forgettable with two organised sides cancelling each other out. Greenslade came closest as he hit the crossbar. Second half City were superb. They opened the scoring with a fierce first time shot from Rocky Neal on 65 minutes. The goal was created by an excellent run from just inside his own half by Harvey Greenslade before crossing for Neal. Super goal! City continued to boss the game when on 78 minutes Tyler Harvey came on. Within two minutes after pressing the visitors defender he had slot home from close range. Another sharp finish in the box from the same man on 90 minutes put the seal on a fine second half showing. In injury time a fine shot from outside the box saw Holmes get a consolation for Farnborough. City were excellent in all departments. Defensively very sound, with Ed Palmer getting MOTM. Well organised throughout. Great to have Tyler Harvey back (and scoring). This weekend it has been good to see the good level of performance Truro have sustained this season yield some deserved points. City will be fine in this league, but obviously need Harvey and Neal to stay fit. It looked a bigger crowd than the other two home games this season. At £11 a trip to Bolitho tPark o see a good standard of football is a very good deal. Give it a try. I'm sure you'll be back for more! NLS sides have a far more significant away following though.
