St austell reserves 1 st Mawgan 0

A very good result for st austell who fully deserved the win against a strong st Mawgan side . Future looks good for st austell with 7 under 18’s playing for them tonight

Not sure they fully deserved the win. St Mawgan were marginally the better team in the first half and unlucky to be 1-0 down. Draw would have probably been fair overall.

Think the assistant for St Austell was spot on with some of the contentious decisions but may need to reach out to the ccfa for guidance on some of the flagging signals.

One thing to note is how this is 1 step down from peninsula football shows how far football is falling....

And that’s your opinion , and you’re more than entitled it . That’s the great thing about football everyone sees different things . Not sure I remember st mawgan creating anythnig clear cut other than the offside goal ( which was a good move ) the st austell assistant is more qualified to do the job than the subs that did st mawgans line and if the mawgan players spent less time moaning about him and more time playing they may have done better . The standard you talk about is only going to drop with less youngsters playing football nowadays plus more Cornish teams in the western league , that’s why it’s refreshing to see 7 u18’s playing for st austell
